Just a few minutes ago when Manny Steele was asked by Patrick Lalley on ‘100 Eyes’ about the communication between the council and mayor . Manny made the above comment in reference to the termination of former city clerk Debra Owen. Wow! It was nice to hear this finally from someone running for the SF city council.

    Maybe you did your endorsements a little too soon? Manny Steele seems like a legitimate candidate to beat Rex Rolfing. His views on making government transparent and his shot to beat Rex makes him very appealing to me.

    Manny’s name recognition could easily help him beat Rolfing, but, let’s not forget that BOTH of them are beyond insane and backwards in the head.

    I too appreciate bringing up Owen. He should have had more to say. Once he replaces Rolfing his term should be the end of the old guard. Hopefully, the council will not only be an ego trip but also checks and balances. There’s always hope dictator mayor can be replaced with democracy.

    Give Emmet R. a chance. We need new blood and new ideas. He knows way more than you would expect from someone his age, so don’t hold that against. He certainly is a better choice than RR.

    I hope to heavens he doesn’t win. I voted on Tuesday and I definitely didn’t vote for him. I have had words with him when he was in the Legislature over his ideas on abortion.

    Manny’s probably the best choice although I don’t like him personally. He would put the brakes on the banking, handshaking crowd. Emmet is a good guy but I don’t think he knows the dangers of public private partnerships.
