Thank you for this link. The video makes it easy to skip around and refocus. What seems prevalent is quality of life is threatened. Crime has become a problem. New blood on the council is necessary to steer in a better direction. What I didn’t hear is how the mayor can be controlled from excluding the council and voters. He (alone) is responsible for the half billion debt misappropriated from country club spending. The general population doesn’t benefit from concerts they can’t afford, tennis TIF, swim team clubhouse, owning railroads, and the hotel business. We (the people) are tapped for taxes that should be going to infrastructure and crime management. Indeed, if we speak up, we’re citation harrassed or false arrested costing us thousands we could have used to feed our family. Sometimes I get the feeling we’re a Middle East country ruled by a king. Fortunately, our hands or head are not cut off when we protest. However, it’s coming if we don’t rush this mayor out of town on a manure wagon and replace Home Rule Charter with tried and true democracy.
