    By the way JKC, you ask what happened to Reagan’s Republicans? They lost their way and abandoned the principles for which they stood. Much in the same manner that the Democrats forgot about being the party of the working man and now only seem to care about illegal immigrants, the LGBT community, radical feminism, BLM, and making the US more like the EU. Now, the party’s stars are self admitted socialists. This is the environment that created President Trump. Both parties had ceased to represent their constituents and thus, people turned to Trump, who after all these years, was the 1st truly different politico to come onstage. Like him or no, he spoke his mind and actually seems like he is trying to deliver on his campaign promises. For anyone disgruntled with the current state of politics, until people on both sides rebuke the establishment leadership and demand a higher quality of leader, the current state of gov’t is what we get.

    I would agree that the Democrats have unfortunately forgotten the working man and woman over the years, and that the Democrats need to get back to being “Full Service Democrats” once again, but I question if Democrats can be accused of treason, however…. Hillary’s comment or not… And as far as Trump, well, if you really think he is for the working man and woman, then you truly need to reevaluate how he is working or trying to work the White House to his own benefit with Putin’s help and encouragement.

    Although, VSG’s prediction of a sink hole at Lake Lorraine doesn’t look like it’s going to happen…. Apparently, it was the White House and not Lake Lorraine….

There was a time when elected office was a duty but not a path to power and wealth. Nixon resigned because he would have been impeached for one illegal activity. Clinton was nearly impeached for an affair. Trump has a list of impropriety of which any is grounds for removal from office. Yes, this is local news because the system is coming apart. There’s been local corruption and contamination that cannot be corrected if higher government is as bad or worse.
