Here’s a question for the State of South Dakota, the SD Governor’s office, Attorney General’s Office and the SD social services departments, “WTH?” On what planet are you?

The state of South Dakota is spending major money using the Governor’s wife as a cutesy spokesperson with her grandchildren(?) encouraging the foster children business.  Her husband is an announced candidate for governor of South Dakota. Is this state sponsored advertising for Denny’s reelection campaign? Is this a feel good commercial to enhance the Governor’s image after the children’s mess he is actually in? Remember Aberdeen. Remember Mette. Remember Schwab and Taliaferro. Also, remember the $50,000,000 the Daugaard Children’s Home Society gets to foster out children into so many abusing families. How the Mette case brought up the ugly mess of the South Dakota’s Indian Child Welfare Act violations.

So in the disaster aftermath of Mette, is South Dakota state government using the First Lady in TV commercials and a fancy website to clean up their image? In normal campaign seasons South Dakota state law would prohibit the use of the Governor’s family or images once the candidacy is announced. Just recently NJ Gov. Chris Christie got in big time trouble using his family in a PR campaign.

Where are Denny’s political opponents? Do they not understand child stealing, selling, renting and other abuses are just not right?

Just thought I’d mention it and see how long it takes for the commercials to be removed from broadcast.

11 Thoughts on “Another governor endorsing a state program during an election cycle?

  1. So 1 scumbag foster parent from 2 years ago paints the entire foster system as pedophiles? I’m gunna take a wild guess and say theres a couple million adults that are greatful for foster parents in their lives. I can think of 3 of them right now.

Will you be OK if the democrat candidates wife is featured in an ad for sucking out aborted babies?

What do you think we should we do with foster kids, send them to labor camps?

So much for that New Southdacola Vibe you were telling us you would be striving for. This might be your most pathetic entry yet. I’ll bet this is post is deleted before the govs wife video is pulled down. Of course that why you need to moderate and weed out my posts before they see the light of day.

LJL – One scumbag? Several ‘scumbags’ were involved in this mess.

This wasn’t a guy who was preying on kids with candy in a van, this was a REGISTERED FOSTER PARENT that was getting kids from a non-profit that the governor was running. The kids were also being illegally fostered to this rapist (Indian Welfare Act), that wasn’t the rapist’s fault, that was all Denny’s doing. So it makes me a little sick to my stomach that Denny has no problem with CHS making millions of dollars illegally fostering native kids to people who rape them, tries to get Rounds, circuit judges, the DCI and the AG to cover it up, then to put icing on the cake uses his wife to brag about the great foster care in SD while he is running for office.

The rapist is one thing, but those kids should have NEVER been in Mette’s care to begin with, that was all Denny and Marion’s doing.

You need to do your research on the case and dig a little deeper, because it is about to be split wide open, and between EB-5 and the Mette case, I have a feeling Denny and Marion will be looking for new jobs come November.

. . . and may just be splitting rocks.

  4. So you gave us 3 links that point out a subhuman is abusing a foster kid and 2 others are accused of tampering with witnesses and now you’re attempting to tell us the governor and his wife are selling foster kids to pedophiles.

Just where is your research of this vast conspiracy?

Oh and just who at the Childrens Home Society is “Making Millions”?

Just where are all these “kids” that are “being fostered out illegally”.

Just what the fuck is wrong with you?

You’ve attempted to make mountains out of molehills a plenty, but now you’re working hard to make another planet.

    Where’s the positive community advocacy?

Bad habits are hard to break – aren’t they?

LjL – in your blind allegiance to Denny and Marion you have chosen not to read up on the Mette case and coverup. Even Democrats have assisted them in the coverup. When a reporter from PR called me from DC office a couple of years ago about this, I gave her a list of prominent South Dakota Dems that may be willing to talk to her about the case, they all refused. There was also the local SDPR reporters being a little miffed that the National didn’t ask for their assistance. I ask WTF is wrong with you? Do you think it is OK to just blow this off like it is not a big deal? My tax dollars going to an organization that illegally fosters children is not good.

This ad is all over TV. This much advertising tells me there’s something that’s hard to sell.

  10. I am sick to death of these commercials. A person can only handle so many of them. If I remember right the first one featuring Mrs. Daugaard and Henry, was something about making sure we have healthier babies. When I saw that one my thought was the thing that might help with that would be if her husband had extended medicaid. I would sure think they could find some other spokes person for these ads.

  11. What I hate about those commercials is they’re usually double booked. If you see it once, you’re going to see it again after the next commercial.
