I ASKED FOR AN OPINION! I DID NOT FILE A COMPLAINT.

“It’s a little disheartening. I ran for public office to try and help Sioux Falls and move Sioux Falls forward and do a good thing and this kind of shines a dim light on the work we’re up to.  And it’s a little set back, it’s a little annoying when you see the headlines that are out there because a lot of people don’t read past the headlines but I’m not shakened by this. I’m still confident I’m doing the right thing and that Sioux Falls has a great group of people on the city council and the future is very bright.” – Jamison

It seems some councilors think they are guilty of something, not the case at all, I wanted a clear opinion – that’s it. If Greg wants to blame someone blame himself. I gave him and Bob an opportunity to resolve this internally, instead they pleaded to the media they weren’t guilty of anything.

I did not go to the proceedings today, because I stated my case clearly on the opinion form. This is about the law, and defining it, plain and simple.

Call me crazy, but I expect integrity out of our elected officials. That’s it. I don’t want to have cookies with you, I don’t want to hang out with you, I just want you to do the right thing.

10 Thoughts on “Don’t muddy the waters

  1. Dear l3wuss: I am also disheartened and annoyed WITH YOU by what you have done to the Bob Jamison and Greg Shlitz families. You have now destroyed their reputations which will lead them and their families to finanical ruin. YOu are so mean and pathetic and never should have been issued your Sioux Falls gold-rubber stamped trusting-loyalty citizenship papers…

My Granny Gumption thinks you should just go and sit on your own face…

    Sincerely,

EggBert and Granny and family (except for Uncle Rusty and Grumpa – who think you should run for council yourself – the self-righteous know-nothing do-gooders!)

  2. I found it quite pathetic and pitiful watching them with long faces in front of the ethics committee on Smeloland TV. They must really have some guilty consciences?

I’ll run for mayor, and you can run for city council. I’m sure Uncle Kermit will support you, and I’ve got at least three votes already from other internets friends.
We could have a float in the St. Pattie’s Dat parade, and wear our Napoleon hats.

  4. Here! Here! On to Waterloo!

  5. Still Laughing . . . I talked to Rocco Tchetter over lunch and I was telling him how I was watching the informational meeting online and for some reason Litz started talking about all the homeless ‘camps’ and Rocco was walking his dog through there today and said there are clothes everywhere and it is a mess, and told me, “Maybe the next time you address the council, you should suggest that they pass an ordinance that says that the homeless have to keep their campsites cleaned up.” Not sure if I could do it with a straight face though, and I am still confused as to why Litz would walk through there or even bring it up. Weird.

  6. Isn’t it ironic that “Ethics” meetings are closed to the public?

  7. Actually, there was a testimonial period that was not closed. Litz and Jamison were asked to leave when they were making their decision. Sometimes the meetings have to be closed, because a city employee may be turning in their boss, and that gets sticky.
