I know it is hard to imagine, but even this dickwad gets emotional once in awhile. Usually it is a Hank Williams SR. or Lucinda Williams song. But when I see visual artists honored for great deeds, I get pretty worked up (I still love you Andy!). Tonight on the CBS news they did a special segment on Shepard Fairey who designed the above Obama poster. The video of the interview isn’t up on the internets yet, but Shepard talked about meeting Obama and his reaction, “How did you get the image to become so popular so fast? (I’m paraphrasing)”
Thank you Shepard for being an inspiration, I’m still proud to be an artist, even if I suck.
