I have often worked in the shadows, whatever that means. But tonight I exposed myself to a political event like no other (one moment while I dry off from my very hot shower).

While I will not expose some of the things I heard (because I am a man of my word, sometimes) I will give you a quick rundown.

A reporter got a good dig on me (still laughing)

I met a pro-choice Republican (that is in denial)

The Democrats still don’t get it (and they loves their Mike Huether)

HyVee is a grocery store that has a lobbyist come to these things (What?!)

Candidates won’t sign petitions (because they are afraid they might be right on an issue)

Some teabaggers get it (or don’t?)

And Jenna Haggar still talks to me (even though she knows she should not 🙂

And you should all vote for Richard Schriever.

I ended the night with a good friend eating this;

  1. Yum! Not sure what those are, but that plate is amazing looking. I’d take that and a 22 oz cold one any Monday night!

  2. What I wanna know is whch one was the ugly table – and do you think a (relatively) big event like that was the appropriate setting for the bar tender training session?

  3. Ruf – It was a ‘training night’ for several people 🙂

    Cory, I could go into detail, but you were not there to witness it. I will say this though, the Republican legislators I talked to, don’t get it either.

  4. Cory – I believe our current host is referring to not getting that the party wasn’t about party, or stumps.

  5. Any of these candidates mention anything “Pro Liberty” , anti-Monsanto or were they all zombies of whatever the media is spoon feeding them of late?

  6. They don’t like to answer tough questions period. We will see how many respond to my letter. I hope all of them do.
