Mike Who?
The only person who made the decision to register as an independent was Mike. But he may not have had a choice. Over the past year there has been many prominent Democrats considering asking him to leave the party, ironically for the reasons he told us why he was leaving; he’s not a Democrat. This has been obvious for a while and came to its climax yesterday.
Even if Mike would have chosen to remain in the party, I don’t think he would be helping them much, and vice versa. I think Mike’s chances of winning in Congress have increased by registering Independent. But I don’t think he has a shot at becoming Governor as an Independent.
I think the Dems should look at this as a blessing in disguise. Instead dealing with this sociopath, they will have a chance to put up a solid (Democratic) candidate, and let Mike steal votes from the Republican (because that is what he will do). The Dems might actually have a shot at the congressional seat in 2018, thanks to Mike Huether after all.
that is assuming they will put up a viable candidate. in order to do that, they need someone that can do more than post cell phone videos on facebook.
Should I hold a 30 minute press conference if I announce Independant to Republican? I want to be absolutely sure I never vote for Mismanagement Man Mike. Also, I’ll probably vote Democrat but a Republican ballot has all questions. Democrat and (especially) Independant don’t. Two elections ago there were only 2 subjects on the Independant ballot. The election worker seemed apologetic when she handed me the short form.
Why announce his party? Oh, it’s the Trump-like way to get free publicity. Does this mean we should expect Bigotry and Groping from Huether in the future? He makes Indepenent sound Pansexual? I hate snakes. It’s reptile dysfunction.
I don’t really hate snakes but it might get some free publicity.
I see he ran to B-N-B right away this morning to cry about people picking on him about this change.

I think Trump will prove to be a disaster within a few months after taking office. By November 2018, the Dems are going to look like complete saviors, and any Republican or Indy are going to be running scared.
Not sure why people keep thinking Mike will split the vote. If at all, it will be minimal.

omg man Mike needs to take his ownself and his “one printer only” rule to Pierre. I don not see him beating kristi neom tho cuz he is getting super long in the tooth. +, He is way to much used to slack exec treatment to want to run for office each 2 years in the us house. this man needs to get off the interstate and get back to roping steers.
