It’s only been one day since Bjorkman announced he is running for US Congress as a Democrat and the SD GOP Hate machine has already started in on him. For the most part I would probably be agreeing with some of their assaults on Democratic candidates, but with Bjorkman, (faux) insults is all they are going to have.

Just think about it? Put either Johnson’s or Krebs’ resume up against Mr. Bjorkman’s. An attorney turned judge who has compassion for the less fortunate, especially children.

Krebs is a failed shoe salesperson and Johnson, a press release writer for the governor (who quit his elected position to take the job).

The Dems finally have a contender that shouldn’t have any problem mopping the floor with either Krebs or Johnson. Hopefully Ann keeps her paws off the campaign.

7 Thoughts on “Krebs & Johnson don’t hold a candle to Bjorkman

  1. Shantel and Dusty should be worried….. There’s a new sheriff in town….

  2. Sheriff? Would the more appropriate literary allusion be Judge Dredd?

  3. There isn’t a single South Dakota Democrat who can win a statewide race without a third party or indie conservative running to split the SDGOP vote in the general election.

West River conservatives are backing Shantel Krebs in the US House race because of their anger over the Gant/Powers scandals while the SDGOP establishment earth haters are backing Howdy Doody Dusty Johnson.

interested party has contacted several West River conservatives furious with the leadership void left by Denny Daugaard in the shit storm created by the Bendagate and Westerhuis affairs to mount third party and independent runs for statewide seats. Lora Hubbel still has time to leave the earth hater party and run on principle as a third party or unaffiliated candidate.

Unless Marty Jackley leaks dirt about Kristi Noem’s extramarital gymnastics he’s going to be roadkill in the earth hater gubernatorial primary, too.

The feckless South Dakota Democrats should hold a nominating convention and avoid any primary contests. JR LaPlante should run for his party’s nomination for attorney general, btw.

Unless Bjorkman talks about legal cannabis and Medicaid for all he’s just running as an SDGOP clone.

I too have had many issues with the South Dakota Democratic Party leaning towards just being unaffiliated here in South Dakota but I have been very impressed with retired judge Tim Bjorkman and was there in Canistota for the kickoff. I’ll do whatever I can to help his campaign.

I agree, a democrat doesn’t have a chance in this state without a third party candidate. There’s just to many zombie republicans poised to use their bingo marker everywhere it says republican.

Stace Nelson would be a great candidate. The Judge would win hands down if Stace gets in. Do it for the team Stace. Team SD.

Lets get real, barring a miracle Bjorkman is going to get steam rolled by either Krebs or most likely Johnson. Either one will have a more effective campaign; donor network, and message.

Third place Stace will definitely capture the wing nut vote.
