Jazzfest has become a prominent Sioux Falls event that draws visitors from a 100 mile radius. It would have been a shame to cancel it. It’s natural semi-cultural entertainment with economic impact. Is it popular because it’s free? Partially, but it’s a venue for the working class. They can’t afford a box at the Denty or tennis at Match Point. The Gentry class must throw the minimum wage 2 jobs majority a bone at least once a year.
