I have noticed over the past month that the search option on the city’s website doesn’t really work that well anymore (I’m sure the IT wizards with the city have been tinkering with it so they can provide less transparency. Soon they will change the name of the site to, thepeoplesrepublicofsiouxfalls.org). But there is a easier and quicker way to search for stuff on Siouxfalls.org and it works for almost any website that has poor search functionality.

In google type the name of the site you wish to search, with a colon, and what you are searching for, example;

Siouxfalls.org: salaries

I found this is the fastest and easiest way to find stuff on the city website.

    It’s city transparency. Their version. Make it not there. You know, transparent.

    Be careful searching when involving a colon.
