Here is the details of what is being proposed for Badlands Pawn (Item#6). What I find interesting is that Scott Hoy is also listed as an owner. Scott, PLEASE STOP! Hopefully nobody buys video games at the Pawn Shop and plays them in the backseat of a car.

11 Thoughts on “The largest Pawn Shop plan, tell me it isn’t so Scott!

  1. I’m starting to think this is a genius move. Chuck says he plans to film a reality show at his “mega-entertainment I mean pawn” shop. Hoy is the key!!! He could be the lead character!

  2. Thats not much of a building to put all that crap in he’s planning.

  3. does that mean no bones BBQ? they’re supposed to be coming soon!

  4. Are there any TIF’s involved?

  5. Scott Hoy owns part of the property that’s being rezoned—his law office is at that address right now, right? But if I recall properly, the press said Hoy is moving is law office to make way for the shop. Is Hoy’s name simply on the permit app as a current owner, who will sell his lot to Brennan and move?

  6. Interesting question. Hoy has already moved into Brennan’s ‘Clark County Collection’ building on the Loop downtown. I was told though that was temporary. I find the relationship interesting to say the least.

  7. Interesting that the man who makes 400% interest on loans plus runs a collection agency would team up with the lawyer who promises to “help” those who can’t get insurance companies to pay for their medical bills.

    An ambulance-chasing attorney, a usury king, and a self-promoting mayor……

and, so it goes, in our little city on the prairie in 2015.

And to think it is all because of the usury rate changes from many years ago…. It’s the gift (rip-off) which keeps on giving (or taking?)….

Brennan is definitely the new Sanford. His name and puss will be plastered over everything in this town as well.
Britany Fox and White Lion perform at every ribbon cutting. Whee!

Minneapolis has the nation’s largest indoor shopping mall & Sioux Falls will have the largest pawn shop. They sell it, we loan against it at 30% interest or buy someone else’s junk with our high interest credit card.

We’ve become the company owned population like for steel towns of the 19th century.
