  1. But what about the windfall which the County, City, and School Board are all going to receive next year, because property values have gone up by about 20% in one years time for owners of homes in the $ 150,000 to $ 250,000 price level?…. Why is no one talking about this?

    Starting next year, this new reality means higher mortgage payments for many struggling lower and middle class families in this town – increases in their property tax portion of their escrow payments which could be 10 times the current inflation rate.

    Well, there goes that phony one-time bonus that you got from your employer thanks to the GOP tax cut…..(But what about the year after the next, will I get an other bonus? (Probably not, but you will get an other tax bill….))

  2. It seems obvious internet sales and services (ie AirBNB) is having an affect on tax revenue. I also wonder if population growth has subsided.
