I found this gem tonight, and it brought back so many memories. Leon Bridges, Lucinda Williams, X, and many more, and that was just in the main room. The 7th Street Entry is the coolest club in the WORLD. I have been to several all over the US, and nobody beats the place. My favorite show was The New Bomb Turks with Glucifer and the Hellacopters, and the exchange of rare imported goods in the basement with NIkki from the Hellacopters. He is the lead singer and artist who loves Ed Roth, so we had an awesome convo about that. It often amazes me how I find the best docs on PBS, you know, the station Sally cut funding to. Biggest Dick move of his presidency, so far.

Between climate change, Trump, and artificial intelligence, we are all screwed. In fact, it all causes me to just want to party like it’s 1999:

First Avenue, First Addition, first in your neighborhood, it’s all just a bunch of “firsts” like cc, the Donald, and A.I. Cuz, you know, Trump’s term becomes unconstitutionally extended in ’29, they say that after ’30 climate change will be irreversible, and by ’30 most jobs will be gone to A.I. So, absent Trump’s orange dysfunctionalism, we have a couple years left as I see it. So, why not just party these final years away, hoping that a purple rain will change it all?
( and Woodstock adds: “Boy, all of this gloom and doom could really spoil any chances of commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1929 stock market crash, huh?” 🙁 #WallStLaysAnEgg )

I still think Karma will take care of these folks. I have told people that the Trump admin will fall just as fast as Nixon, but many more heads will roll.
Trump started out in 2017 as an outsider like Carter, but don’t get me wrong, Carter was a good man, but not Trump, and I was confident he would not get re-elected like Carter. AND, I have said many times on this blog that Biden was Reagan-lite, and although their politics were different their lives showed a every similar pattern, which I can get into if you want me to, which made me totally confident that Biden would have beat Trump in ’24 regardless of what others say (Reagan had a bad debate in ’84, too, and Reagan beat Mondale, and Reagan running against Carter then Mondale is very similar to Biden running against Trump twice (the same prior administration). But once Biden left the stage, then Reagan84 left the stage, too, and we were then left with Cleveland1892 (Cleveland’s non-consecutive second term win) and Nixon68 (LBJ out and Humphrey, his VP, replacing him) has the dominant historic political forces at hand, which guaranteed a Trump win. But I’m now convinced that Nixon68 is more dominant than Cleveland92, which means the Trump presidency will last about 5 1/2 years like Nixon’s, which brings us to about Sturgis time this summer 🙂 . AND, I think it will end because of his health and probably with the help of a major national disaster that his administration is too incompetent to handle which will probably lead to further health issues for Trump.
Now, for the Trump and Nixon parallels, well, they are both Republicans, both had NYC ties as residents of that fine city, both were the only two ever nominated for president three times by a national/first tier political party, both won two of their three presidential races, Trump goes to Ma-ra-Lago, while Nixon preferred Key Biscayne, Florida, both have someone in their cabinet with close ties to a Kennedy assassination (John Connally and RFK, jr.), both have had articles of impeachment drafted against them, both oversaw two of the most corporate administrations in American history, both love to wine and dine with Russians, both were obssessed with China, but with different motives, both had an enemies lists, both had two vice-presidents, both have a Secretary of State, who is also their key National Security Advisor, both witnessed a stubborn inflation in their second term, both have deployed the Madman Theory to foreign policy with bombing Laos and Cambodia for Nixon, and Iran and Venezuela for Trump, Nixon had Kent State, while Trump has the death of Good, which all leads me to the conclusion that what we are experiencing right now is the re-emergence of Tricky Dick (Just ask Stormy 😉 ) ….. and the following, I think proves it beyond a reasonable doubt (Say, isn’t that what ICE is supposed to use?) ….:

That’s “corrupt administration” and not “corporate,” and I forgot to mention that they both have shown an interest in using IRS records against their political enemies, and both lost a presidential bid to a Democrat who was a Catholic from the East Coast. 🙂
AND, also, both experienced an unusual political comeback as presidential candidates (’68 Nixon/’24 Trump).
“Irish Catholics, too!” …. “Cuz, Irish politicians always seem to win 🙂 ” ……
