Recently there was an interview with Eddie Murphy about his documentary (I recommend if you are an Eddie fan) and he brought up the short lived Richard Pryor Show from 1977 (4 episodes). You can read all about it. The black president skit is the best.

Prior to Pryor, I had never heard of freebasing 🙂 At first, I thought Pryor was just getting balls and the ump let him walk, but instead I guess he was balling.
be like richard pryor,
set your face on fire,
cocaine.
Leno did it with the help of an old classic car, while Pryor did it with thoughts of ecstasy….. So, perhaps, this is a good time for this song once again:

Here’s a fun memory recall fact: I once walked into the once NiteCity/Jams/Acme as the DJ was introducing this forementioned song. At the time, our then local State’s Attorney was in trouble for this stuff, and I believe some claimed even dealing. AND, during his intro, the DJ asked: “Who’s next, the Mayor?” ….. It was the early 80s ….AND, I let you do the historic math on which mayor 😉 …… Oh, and I believe that SA was/is a first cousin to a then future SF mayor back in that day…. Talk about keeping it packaged…. Or, would that be bundled?
“Say, that drummer in that ‘Cocaine’ song, is that George Clooney?” ….. 🙂 ( ….. “Or, am I on something?” …. 🙁 )
