16 Thoughts on “Q & A

  1. what would kristi talk about if she couldn’t talk about nancy pelosi?

  2. Barbra Boxer

  3. Rumor has it, Noem had to buy a bigger mailbox after she started wearing her hair like that. Apparently when she stuck her head in the old one looking for her latest government farm subsidy check, she got stuck.

Nancy’s hair looks considerably better, than Noems. To me Kristi’s hair kind of reminds me of Elvira.

Word, redhatterb. Pelosi’s hair is way better. Kristi’s hair look like somebody forgot to clean their paintbrush.

  6. Kristi has a case of Costcutter’s back bump hair. But, hey, just like driving records, it is unfair to bring up Castlewood beauty parlors.

I have never seen anything like it, even around here.

  8. I heard she was an extra in ‘Hairspray’

  9. Actually if reminds me of a saying I had a few years ago when one of my TV videographer friends had to film a commercial for a hair salon in Mitchell/ I coined the phrase ‘Mitchell Hair’

  10. On a related Noem issue, I find it humorous that she brags she will “repeal Government run healthcare”.

Let’s be serious for a second – Obama is still the President. Do you really think he is going to sign a bill which cancels what he feels is one of his greatest accomplishments?

I also like the fact she says “unlike my opponent I will vote to reduce the national debt” as if it is that simple. I’d love to see the vote where people can just vote yes or no to a bill which says “reduce the national debt”.

I honestly don’t think Noem even understands the issues. She was selected because she is a pretty face, but not because she has a grasp on issues impacting our state or nation, and even her commercials reflect that. She can’t talk specifics, she can’t give a full answer to direct questions, and all she can do is spout off about Nancy Pelosi.

Can’t the GOP do any better? She is nothing more than South Dakota’s version of Sarah Palin.

  11. “unlike my opponent I will vote to reduce the national debt”

I call bullshit on that one. Considering when she sat on the state legislature she had no problem taking money from the feds. As a state and personally in farm subsidies.

  12. Costner, your last paragraph summed up perfectly why she IS the GOP candidate. A group of Sioux Falls wives got together and wanted to create their very own Sarah Palin.
Issues be damned. It is more important to look good than to think good (“think well”. I DO know grammar but it is tough when you are trying to channel Fernando)
But then she came up with that really unfortunate hair, which seems to have taken on a life of its own. I’m sure the girls are appalled, but it’s too late now.
And the perpetual smirk every time she says “Pelosi”.

  13. I had a group of old liberals rolling the other night at the bar when I was doing the live version of this cartoon. And everytime I said “Nancy Pelosi” they were dying.

  14. If she loses, a large part of it is going to be this obsession with Pelosi. Her people really need to understand that she already has the votes of the conservative talk radio crowd that shares this obsession. It’s the independents, or those Democrats that are not fans of Steffie, that she needs to attract, and this approach just won’t work with them.

Well, getting back to Kristi’s hair, her Mother is a beautician or was. She went to beauty school with my sister, of course that was back in the day when people backcombed the daylights out of their hair. Unless a beautician goes to workshops periodically to learn new methods they get stuck in their old ways. My sister never wanted to update, she is perfectly happy doing her little old ladies that go in once a week for a shampoo, set, and backcome that will last for a week.
