Sorry, ‘Munich‘ you just got bumped. My new favorite movie of all time is ‘High Fidelity‘
I liked it at first, but after watching it a few more times, it starts to grow on you.
Trust me, it will never trump ‘It’s a Wonderful Life‘ or my all time favorite comedy ‘Coming to America‘ or my all time favorite documentary ‘Grey Gardens‘. But it is pretty damn good.

Theresa has been trying to get raises for several years for SF substitute teachers, with no avail. She was finally fed up and gave this presentation at noon today. There was a good audience and the TV cameras were rolling.
Apparently the mayor broke his elbow playing tennis, I tried to find the story, but it seems to have disappeared. Enjoy this Seinfeld clip instead. Playing tennis? GTFOOH!

Jay K. does a great story about this year’s design. I was fortunate enough to design the 2006 and 2007 poster/logo. (the 2006 logo was actually started by Mark Pollard, but he didn’t have the time to finish) In fact my 2007 design was so well liked, JF decided to keep the guitar theme each year after that. Ironically, one of the reasons my 2008 designs were rejected was because I didn’t stay with that theme. But that is a long, long, long, story. (My 2008 submissions below).
