Do masks work? Duh!

I didn’t want to go here, but since my blogger to the north decided to stump me on Sioux Falls news I will;

Given these figures, Sioux Falls might want to reconsider the wisdom of removing its masks. We’re not out of the woods yet; we still need to give time for everyone to get their shots and for those shots to do their work. Mask up, stay home.

I told a couple of Sioux Falls City Councilors recently that the Covid fight is similar to a drag race, you don’t let off the gas until you cross the finish line. My Great Uncle ‘Bingo’ Ehrisman (yeah, that’s his nickname) was a well known dragster in the 1960’s and beyond, he told me once you need two things to win a race, a fast car and a heavy foot. They put a parachute in the trunk for a reason. I look at Covid this way, while in the race we are fast and furious and once we end we can pull the rip cord.

Wearing masks works, and holding back now seems futile. In fact they started wearing masks during the plague because they figured out sneezing on people isn’t such a great idea. In fact, mask wearing has made our influenza season virtually non-existent. Gee I wonder why?

I figure if we stay the course and don’t let off the gas until the finish line, Covid cases may be almost gone by September, but if we continue to jump the gun, this will last longer.

I also encourage everyone to get a vaccine, I got my first shot last week and I feel fine. Too bad there isn’t a vaccination against bad leadership.

A course masks work, doctors and nurses have been using them for decades during surgery. I think they know best.

( and Woodstock adds: “I wish I had an ‘Uncle Bingo'”… “He sounds like fun”…. “Did he like fast women, too? …) #ThunderValleyBaby!

I likely got it at work because we never closed and several people had it. But I’m not sure how catching covid makes me a hypocrite. But I do know you calling me that makes you an A-hole. To bad you can’t get a vaccination for that? Maybe you should first start by registering independent or Dem 😟

Since the Mask Mandate was lifted, my business has been booming. The 5 months prior, it was very stressful having to do with some of the business restrictions, the contact tracing being aggressively promoted by the State, and the “MEDIA” using scare tactics telling people to stay home. General Workers would not know this, but when you are “Self Employed” there is a lot of stress on us due to the fact it is risky to be in business as yourself knowing that Democrats wish you to pay a certain ‘wage’, provide so many benefits, let alone regulate you so much. STRESS was getting to me, then you had the Social Media b.s of so many people hiding behind a keyboard talking so much crap, slandering us, spreading false information about businesses all cause they did not like our policies.

The only policy I had the past 6 months was “Wear A Mask if Your Wish, DO not wear one if you choose not to” meaning – Masks Only Recommended to Keep the Peace.

You know why I support Mayor Paul – cause he listens to both sides. Know how I can tell? Cause I asked him to change the words to Section 5 of his resolution, and he did.

Bottom Line – DO what makes you feel comfortable, while providing for yourself, your family, and keep the “INCOME” inside South Dakota by not allowing the FEDS to tax it out of South Dakota.

I think we have learned over the past 12 months what happens when you “over regulate” the business community – you lose jobs, family businesses, and that then places more people on the “welfare tit”.
