(CNN) – Alaska officials have told Gov. Sarah Palin she must pay back taxes on the thousands of dollars she received in state per diem funds while living at her home in Wasilla.
The Washington Post first reported last September that Palin had billed the state for nearly $17,000 worth of meals and other living expenses while staying in her own home during the first 19 months of her administration, even though the official governor’s residence is in Juneau.
Oops! “What taxes do you pay, Governor?” “None of them!”

How do we know she pays no taxes, as you say? She apparently owes taxes on the per diem stuff, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t pay any taxes.
I thought it was funny when Bristol made the comment that abstinance isn’t realiztic.

What exactly do you think McCain would be doing differently? It would be the same bill with different pork benefactors, and the democrats would have fought tooth and nail against it because it wasn’t “their guy” proposing it. The republicans would be playing the part of Nancy and Harry.

I don’t defend Daschle either, I also don’t think Geithner should have gotten his appointment either. When lawmakers break laws they should resign or be thrown out. I don’t give a rat’s ass what party they are from.

Really l3wis, are you truly going to try to defend the “messiah” (no caps on purpose) as he increases the budget defecit infinitely, makes fun of the Special Olympics, can’t speak without a tele-prompter (sometimes the wrong speech), and tells us that if problems are easy they get solved before they reach his office and expect people NOT to write and be critical?
He can’t handle criticism, as is diplayed every press conference where someone asks him why he is hosing over the next three generations and he stares them down tells them they dont’ understand our current situation and moves on to the next question.
What would McCain have done different? He told us during the campaign. If you recall, he was the one that actually had a plan before we voted. If only he had just pretended he had one like his opposition.
