Who let the crazies out of their F’ing cages today?

As I was riding my bike home from work tonight I saw a license plate that said;

NOBAMA

But the crazy shit-house rat nuttiness gets better, as I was riding my bike to work today, I snapped this picture (below). Obviously, God hasn’t helped this poor fellar get a job and do something constructive with his life, like contribute to humanity. I almost pulled the blindfold off and said, “God dislikes you, because you are ignorant and lazy.” but, who needs trouble on a Tuesday afternoon? Not this Bohemian.

Will Jodi Schwan still have a job in the next mayor’s administration?

Jodi.ashx

Ms. Schwan is Sioux Falls Mayor Dave Munson’s (overpaid) Chief of Staff, for now . . .

I and several other contibutors on this blog have joked about what Jodi will be doing next, because we certainly know that she won’t be the next mayor’s Chief of Staff. But I guess there have rumors swirling that she will still be employed by the city. The sitting mayor has the power to transfer an employee to a different position in the city before he leaves office. Obviously she would have to take a pay cut and most likely she would be working in media services or at CityLink. I’m not sure what to think of it. I guess 1) if I was Jodi I would get the heck out of SF as fast as I could. She has a good education and resume and could go to work for anyone, but WTF do I know, I am just a blogger.

And if King Dave does decide to job transfer her, how will that sit with citizens? And will the SF MSM cover it?

Should be an interesting Spring at city hall.

So let’s have a little fun. If Jodi decides to stay with the city, what should her next job be?

The Rapid City Journal gets it, I wonder if the Gargoyle Leader will?

South DaCola made the FIVES again;

Regressive taxation, in graphic detailA few years ago, the Journal Editorial Board took exception to the state’s efforts to force cities to raise taxes, particularly because the tax increase would include staple items such as food.

The state heard similar complaints from folks all over South Dakota, and in response, offered up a program by which individuals who met a certain income level could apply for relief.

Still, no matter how it’s explained, taxes on food are regressive, i.e., it most adversely affects the people who are least able to deal with it, the poor.

That’s blogger Scott Ehrisman’s argument against a current plan being floated by Sioux Falls officials to increase taxes to pay for an events center.

While Ehrisman’s conclusion that such a move is plain and simple discrimination may be hard from some people to swallow, he makes an extraordinary case against regressive taxation by offering up a graphic that shows by income bracket what percentage individuals must pay of their total earnings to such taxes.

Another case of a picture — or a line graph — is worth a thousand words.

Rapid City leaders figured out there is a recession, maybe they should pass the memo on to the Sioux Falls city council

WOW! Imagine that, South Dakota’s second largest city has a little compassion for their citizens;

“We understand that times are tough and everyone needs to tighten the purse strings as much as possible, and I think the city government is no exception,” Rapid City Mayor Alan Hanks said.

Can you pass that message on to King Dave?

Sioux Falls will collect 3 percent more in property taxes next year after the City Council on Monday approved the maximum annual increase allowed by state law.

And guess who was the only councilor to vote against this increase was?

Councilor Kermit Staggers proposed an amendment to not take the 3 percent increase, but it failed to get support.

Once again, the Sioux Falls city council proves how out of touch they are with the general public by approving this increase.

You are right, the healthcare debate is about greed, the greed of the insurance companies

Not sure what this letter writer was getting at?

I was taught when I was young that communist and socialist countries were evil because they taught their children to turn their parents in for not following the party line, had the death penalty for using the wrong drugs, put people in prison with no charges and no chance of going to court, worshiped science instead of God, had so-called re-education camps that would brainwash/enlighten the masses so they knew their leaders were right and not only condoned but promoted torture. I still pray the United States can stop becoming like the rest of the world and set the example that so many people believed we were capable of. The recent debate over health care shows that greed still is a hard vice to overcome, but I am still hopeful that good can triumph over greed, fear and hatred.

So, what do you consider the ‘Right Drugs’ are? And, I have yet to meet someone who worshipped ‘Science’. I only hope that sanity and common sense can triumph over greed, fear and hatred.
