“Who do you think paid for the Iraq war? Santa Claus?” – Barney Frank

Watch a longer video here, Frank is at his prime. At one point he says, “I haven’t had a secret in 21 years.” Pop just squirted out of my nose;

Frank: Do you think Medicare is unconstitutional, sir?

Teabagger: I think that Medicare needs to be reformed.

Frank: Do you think it’s unconstitutional? You said that the Constitution doesn’t give us the authority to do it, but Medicare was done. And, do you think Medicare is unconstitutional?

Teabagger: I think that Medicare needs to be reformed.

Frank: But you won’t tell me whether you think it’s unconstitutional, which you said–

Teabagger: I am not a Constitutional scholar-

Frank: Then why did you start off arguing about the Constitution?

Can I puke now or later

A cute face is all you need these days to be considered a good journalist I guess;

VERMILLION — The anchor of the “CBS Evening News,” Katie Couric, has been selected to receive the 2009 Al Neuharth Award for Excellence in the Media.

Her selection has been confirmed by Jack Marsh, executive director of the Al Neuharth Media Center and Freedom Forum in Vermillion. The Freedom Forum presents the award.

I have never cared much for her as a journalist, on top of it all, her producers write most of her questions. You know, the really tough ones like,”What magazines do you read?”

Can anyone backup my Event Center conspiracy theory?

The newest Event Center Task Force member, Boris

I really think the reason the Event Center task force is pushing for the bigger 18,000 seat facility isn’t because they think we need it, but because it is an excuse to raise our retail taxes by a penny.

Case in point,  I think it was task force member Terry Baloun (?) who said, (paraphrasing) “If we were to use the the Bed and Booze tax we are looking at a much smaller facility.”

and as I mentioned earlier last week, councilor Quen Be De Knudson said at a joint county/council meeting, (paraphrasing) “I can’t wait to raise taxes to 7 cents so we can build all kinds of nice things for this city.”

These two statements have really gotten me thinking. They know they can build a smaller facility DT with a bed and booze tax, but it would require a retail tax increase (which would raise an estimated $100 million a year) to build a monstrosity at the convention center location and rebuild Howard Wood.

Don’t be fooled by the ‘NEED’ for an 18,000 seat facility, this is about increasing our taxes by a penny. That tax will never, ever go away, the De Knudsons of the world will just find other things to spend that $100 million on each year.

It really surprises me that a person who claims to be an advocate for immigrants and the less fortunate supports taxing food to build an entertainment facility. What are you spiking the honey with these days De?

Next the city is going to tell us how to wipe our asses

Shrubs, perennials or ferns? No worries, the city will decide for you;

Some of the recommendations of the plan include bringing back the streetcar, which last operated in 1929, to some commercial and mixed-use development areas. The plan also laid out the need for an urban forestry program and landscape regulations to maintain and improve forests within the city.

WTF? It’s bad enough that the city makes us trim their trees and tell us how tall our lawn can be, now they want us to landscape our yards a certain way? Give me a break!

Thank the LORD that he sent Michelle Bachmann to save us from government healthcare

In these trying times of woe, when our own illegitimate president from Kenya is attempting to destroy our economy, take over all our hospitals, and kill our grannies, it’s nice to know we can still count on the LORD to send us true Real American Patriots like Michelle Bachmann.

On a conference call the other day, along with North Carolina Rep. Virginia Foxx – who correctly exposed the murder of that gay kid in Wyoming as a hoax, and former Colorado Rep. Marilyn Musgrave – who bravely stood her ground even as it became obvious that the people of her district had mistakenly elected her Godless heathen democrat opponent, Bachmann exposed president Barry Hussein’s true agenda:

“We all need to consider that in God’s timing that he may have allowed us, as members of Congress, to be in the position that we’re in just for this specific issue right now,” she said. “Everything that all of us have worked together and labored for over the years, all of it could be undermined with this one bill. President Obama realizes that. The radicals that are on the pro-abortion left, they realize that. They could win it all. And the unborn, and the vulnerable, the disabled and those at the end of life could lose it it all.”

Without such brave Real American Patriots in the halls of congress, people might start believing the myths that the government doesn’t want to send your grandmas to government-run glue factories.

AMEN SISTER!!!

See ya later, fornicators!

Minuteman out.
