Nostalgic stagnation: It’s like having Leno comeback. It’s like a routine news story #FoodTrucks. It’s a marketing guarantee, or at least hopefully for some, for the corporatists, that is. It’s why houses are painted taupe and why we are increasingly as a society becoming trapped in this aurora of nostalgia, which is predictable and briefly amusing like comfort food. But eventually society will have to go on the scale, and only then will the weight of all of this force us to change, but such change will be harder in the future as births decline and longevity lengthens, with the latter unfortunately being a driving force for even more nostalgia for all of those who continue to linger on and opine for the once, and the music of its eternal enticement and uncreative damnation.
