South DaCola’s ‘Give me a F’ing Break’ quote of the day

Picture 9

(H/T – RR) From STORMLAND TV News;

Conzet has known the Governor for 20 years; he and her father are business partners, but she says she did not lobby for the position and it’s not a conflict of interest.

It’s not a conflict because I am a Republican, and everything we do is sacred, ethical and moral, and BTW, don’t question our intentions. Kristin scares the shit out of me, and that huge freaking scarf like thing isn’t helping the situation!

Who posed the question?

I posed the question;

At a forum last week for candidates running for mayor, they were asked about the volatile meatpacking industry and whether the John Morrell plant would remain.

This was a question I email submitted to the mayoral forum at the University Center, and candidates Staggers and Huether expanded on it. It is an important issue to our city and I am glad our city is starting a discussion about it. Not sure what I think anymore after reading the article. One side of me doesn’t trust the meatpacking industry that has no problem with making changes overnight, but another part of me says they make some good points about not closing the packing plant. I guess time will only tell.

Resignations or bootsignations?

I heard from a reliable source tonight that both Tom Bennett (director of the SD Symphony) and Gary Wood (CEO of the Pavilion) were actually fired by their boards for economic reasons. Leave it to the mostly Republican boards to fire their directors over a problem caused by their savior, GW Dush.

I’m wondering if anyone else can confirm those rumors? Mainly Tom and Gary. I will give you exclusive interviews on South DaCola. Don’t be shy, I only bite in my sleep.

I also got a chuckle tonight when I was telling someone else at a popular restaurant downtown that the Pavilion has never been profitable, considering they get a subsidy from the city each year, and some girl in another booth gave me a dirty look.

Mind your own f’ing business and stop listening to other people’s conversations.  The eye rolling and head shaking does not phase me, I actually think it was kind of cute.
