I just about shit a brick when I saw Stormland TV did this story;

Not this year, which is why this homeowner gives the gates a passing grade.

“Absolutely, I think it would be definitely a good investment,” Kvaale said.

Of course, I should not be surprised, they like anything that has to do with precipitation.

11 Thoughts on “SF citizens LOVE snowgates!

    I can see they are asking the tough questions.

  2. Not really, but at least they did a positive story about them instead allowing the mayor or one of his directors spout about how they are a hassle. There was one weird part about the story though, notice there was no images of just how little the gates leave in the end of a driveway, just testimony.

    Hard to provide images when they do a story 4 or 5 days AFTER the snow storm. If there was any snow left, the homeowner would have removed it several days ago.

    If they really want to get the story, they need to go film the snow gates in action and see how little snow is actually left behind. Be warned however – when they do that the city will be bombarded with phone calls from citizens asking for snow gates in their neighborhoods.

    Don’t worry though – Stormland TV could never spare an anchor during a storm for such a story… they have their hands full with trying to convince the entire region that every time it snows it is unlike any storm system we have ever seen, and we need lots of footage of a beat reporter in a bright red kelo jacket standing on Phillips avenue showing us just how much snow is coming down.

  4. funny how when kermit wanted these, they were worthless and a waste of money. seems kermit was right again.

    Snowgates will add to snow clearing by both budget and time. However, this is a service citizens want and deserve. How about less for design of a fictitious events center location and more for snow removal.

    KELO is underpaid fair weather reporters. Pay them more and put them outside. How about a ride with a snowplow/gate driver? I like Ben Dunsmoor. He’s sullen and naive but seems to go after real news and content.

  6. Funny. I only post on other forums as ‘Detroit Lewis’ or ‘SouthDaCola’. Who is red and nater anyway?

  7. This comment was fantastic, and true;

    “Probably because someone linked to this forum on SouthDacola, so he visited this page to clear up the confusion. Pretty much the same way I found this big bag of idiocy.

    After reading through a dozen or so posts, it would seem you people have a lot of complaints, some clever insults directed at each other or owners/managers/on screen personalities of media outlets – but not much else. I have no idea who any of you are (nor do I care), but I would guess the majority of you either do work or have worked for Sioux Falls media outlets, and this is how you “stick it to the man” and vent your frustration from not being able to move up from a 6th tier news market that accepts gapped tooth gomers or rug wearing weathermen as on-screen “talent”.

    If you think this is the way to improve your life by all means let it rip, but take a little advice from someone with no skin in this game. If you continue to spew negativity while thinking it won’t impact you due to your anonymous usernames, think again. That level of absurdity has a way of embedding itself into your subconscious, and if you take a long hard look in the mirror you might start to wonder if your attitude sucks because of your life, or perhaps it just might be that your life sucks because of your attitude.

    Troll on boys… troll on.”
