It’s too bad, because it looks like the rain may be way later or go around us. They also stopped the show last night at 8 PM. But hey, better safe than sorry.

I was looking forward to tonight’s band.

I also have been making some rough estimates of the crowd count. The first show was probably around 1,500 to 2,000 people, since then it has hovered at around 500 people during the week and last night around that 1,000 mark. There has also been plenty of parking and people have told me they haven’t had any trouble finding something close. I have also noticed people are car pooling, which is good.

Here’s some pictures from last week’s shows and some fun last night.

7 Thoughts on “Levitt Cancels 1st concert of season

  1. You could use the bottom photo of you on the bridge for your first album cover.

You could also quit being a bitch. Just some friendly advice.

Jay, you are right, because ‘change’ never comes from constructive criticism, it only comes from keeping quiet 🙂

“‘The Levitt’s music is kind of probably aimed at a slightly older demographic with the style of music they play. Tonight is our EDM night, which for people who aren’t aware is electronic dance music, so it’ll be indie in the afternoon and then in the evening it’ll be electronic. I can pretty much guarantee no one going to the Levitt tonight is going to be interested in EDM,’ Snyder said.”

I got a kick out of this quote from the KELO story:

I am glad to see that Scott was the generational bridge that proved them wrong.

It was almost as though the 605 crowd didn’t want the Levitt crowd to show up at their event.

I am much older than Scott, but I, too, like Indy music but I also like the Levitt.

The last thing we need is young people who are narrowed mined.

In fact, recently, my 92 year old mother informed me and my wife that she wants to go to the out door patio at PAVE……#SouthDakotasOwnBettyWhite 😉

Funny, I thought the same thing when I saw this news story. A friend and I went to 605 classic early, played some Jenga then walked over to Levitt, and were surprised they shut the show down at 8. We walked back to the Classic and enjoyed a ‘DJ’ pretend to spin (he was actually just playing his flash drive in his laptop) but it was cool. I often tell people, I like all kinds of music, as long as it is not ‘bad’.
