During the public input portion of the meeting tonight, former city councilor Stehly asked the mayor to stop spraying for skiters in broad daylight. I guess the trucks have been emitting their chemicals before dusk throughout neighborhoods with complaints from people with kids, to people walking with pets. It is also kills beneficial insects. The best time to spray is from dusk to dawn when the skiters come out to play. I guess the city doesn’t really have a reason why except it costs more to spray after dark. I didn’t know running headlights was so expensive. I have complained for years that the city should use safer, natural methods to control skiters. The one reason I don’t have a vegetable garden is because of the spraying. The emission can also cause developmental issues in toddlers. But that’s typical of authoritarians, save pennies over here while harming the health and welfare of citizens while handing out $20 Million dollar plus tax rebates to developers.

I didn’t see Paul’s face, but when Theresa was addressing him, she asked him to look at her (I guess he was staring at his shoes, something you can do when the cruise control is on).

  1. They are probably not spraying at night because they don’t have enough workers. So they are spraying during the day at a slower pace and with few workers. I’ve also noticed park employees working weeknights and weekends like never before, while on the bike trail. They are probably doing overtime due to the worker shortage.

  2. Kettle meet black. Ironically she is just as bad. She has notoriously treated people like garbage that she doesn’t agree with. She argues to no end or walks away.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

  3. You know, in Taupeville, they say: “SUV meet black”…. (Or, is that white?)……

  4. The city is spraying well before dark which is useless and harmful.

BUT AGAIN Theresa cannot make a good point without being childish.

She reminds me a lot of the orange president.

  5. The only one that is childish is that big F’ing baby sitting in the mayors chair who stares at his shoes when someone is critical of his inept administration. It doesn’t take a gardener or even toddler to recognize spraying before dark is idiotic. Also that it spreads up to a half mile, something they did not mention in the Dakotanews story, and it is harmful, it’s a pesticide

  6. We have already had them come by three times since summer began and ALWAYS when still bright out while kids our out playing and adults (many senior citizens) out walking about. Would be nice to get some kind of heads up other than the awful sound from the truck approaching at last second. The toxic chemicals aren’t good for people, pets, gardens, pools, insects we do want around..
