  1. The Argus editorial headline says it all:

Editorial: Downtown project failures test leadership https://www.argusleader.com/story/opinion/editorials/2019/05/16/editorial-downtown-project-failures-test-leadership-village-river-sioux-falls/3697866002/

There is no leadership in city hall just people pretending to be leaders by having their insider friends lead them by their noses to one scam after another. Enough leadership to put us in a barrel for a ride over the falls of the big sioux during a flood?

  2. Being in a barrel during a flood, while going over the Sioux’s cascades, would not be that bad, because the fall would be shorter. It would, however, be the ramming into rock formations that could be dissembling.

  3. A pending war with Iraq could make a bunker ramp handy……#MobsterCement(Dutch Mafia?)

  4. I saw Bender’s right-hand man meeting with one of the rookie council members last week. Seems the backroom dealing is already underway.

  5. Not to defend Bender or any developer for that matter, but various developers meet with councilors on regular basis individually to talk about various projects. They also could have been filling them in on what happened with the ‘Banks’ project.

Let me guess, it was Curt Soehl? Instead of developers he needs to be meeting with his peeps in Pettigrew Heights about the crime issues.

  6. From yesterday’s AL editoral:

When companies partner with public entities, with all the benefits that entails, they enter an agreement with taxpayers and lose some of their right to secrecy.

Time to step up to the plate, Mayor Tenhaken.
