That is an interesting piece. After reading the article if I remember right Patty’s Dad taught in the high school I attended in Bryant, SD, sometime in the 50s. I also think the cheerleaders used her for their mascot one year. I would have to go through my yearbooks to find out for sure about the mascot deal.
