Could have seen this coming faster then a female Castlewood rancher with big hair and hoop earrings;
Rounds is proposing that they cut about $240 dollars in funding for every student, dropping the number from $4,804 dollars to $4,564 for each child’s education.
I have a better idea to save the state money; throw out all the elitist Republican politicians that have rewarded their friends and family over the years with jobs and no-bid contracts. We can’t do that, instead lets cut an already underfunded education system.
What a dirty move, but not surprising.
And the people in this State continue to vote Republican after Republican into office, shuffle them from the Senate to the House and vice versa when they hit term limits and then wonder why things never change.
Just the kind of message to send to the young people of the state. The brain drain will probably increase with this type of attitude coming from Pierre. SD should have last place locked up for sure now. Thanks Mikey.

We don’t need no stinkin’ educated folks around here – they’d just have a tendency to get upset over the low wage conditions and cause trouble – like unionizing or some commie crap like that. And we don’t want to raise no commies. (more sarc)
The only commies in our state are millionaire ranchers that take government subsidies.
It is my understand that the feds gave the state money for the shortage and there was money left over. So why the cuts? And then Rounds is going to cut medicaid and the state received more then enough money from the feds not to cut medicaid. Rounds must have decided that 6 figure state employees needed a bonus more then schools needed funding. And of course he has to keep his planes running and and he still has his no bid contracts. Looks like he gave the middle finger to SD.
Yeah, he has been giving it to us for 8 years.
But thank goodness South Dakota did not want a change, they want that middle finger another 4 years from the twin of Rounds.
