The big news of the agenda is that the city finance office has finally released the December 2017 financial report (DOC:DEC-2017). The city ended up only 1.9% from the year before, with lodging having the highest gains of 2.2%.

  1. Financials are good. I’d expected less sales tax because of internet sales but more because of population increase.

  2. September. Garth Brooks. 9 consecutive sellouts. All hotels overbooked. Restaurants overflowing with business. Gas lines. 45,000 gallons of beer sold, just at the tin can. $66 a gallon. Economic impact measured in tens of millions. SEPTEMBER??? not impressed.
