With Trump as president we seem to be living in this world where the truth and facts don’t matter, only what those in power can convince the public of what they believe the truth is.

Sanford’s statement isn’t surprising;

Sanford denies any liability or wrongdoing in regards to this settlement. We chose to settle because the amount is far less than the unnecessary costs and operational disruption that would have persisted for multiple years.

They did have a slice of truth in the statement, it would have not only probably cost them a lot to fight this, if they would have lost, they could have lost all of their federal funding and reimbursements, and my guess, is that it is what this is all about. Sanford literally saved thousands of jobs and an institution by settling, but unfortunately, it should have never gotten this far.

And we wonder why healthcare costs are so high.

  1. I hope this fine doesn’t slow down their hopes of building a massive dome over the entire main SF health care complex as once planned… And what about the future of minor league baseball in town, too?

    ( – and Woodstock states: “A ‘dome?’… In a town that has three tornadoes at a time?…. And what about next year’s Premier bonuses, too?”)

  2. A wise litigation move. Fighting this would have caused inferior local health care. We need both fully functional hospital groups. Given the population growth and aging, they’ve been operating at capacity.

  3. i hope it dont mean the end of the surgeons brazilian grill restaurant. ive always enjoyed driving by that place and not having enough money to eat there.

  4. Enough with the Trump references, this kind of stuff has been happening long before and it will happen long after he is gone. We cannot simply blame everything in the world on one person, come on now. Last time I checked old crooked T-Deny has been at this for quite awhile from starting up his Chop Shop Credit Card business and moving into Health Care. I don’t recall, as much as I disliked Obama, thinking to myself, hmm this is Obama’s fault. “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” That fib was pretty rich and continues to live in Infamy and he has a long list of whoppers but, I am not sitting her blaming everything on the world on him for the 8 years he was in office. This TDS thing is getting to so many people and its not germane to any of these topics.

    Stick to local stuff!!!

  5. CH,

    Wasn’t it Trump who claimed early in his presidency that he settled the Trump University fraud case for $25 million, or what he called a “small amount?”

    If you ask me, this Sanford statement sounds just like Putin’s boy.

  6. Trump University Alumnus

    You missed my whole point. WTF does THIS story have to do with Donald Trump? The answer is nothing absolutely nothing. He is not referenced, did not participate, signed no bills into legislation that allowed Sandford to do this, etc I find it completely insane and fascinating that Liberals blame anything and everything on one man. He is not that powerful and it leads me to one thing, you obviously have some serious issues you can’t get past. Best case scenario he is gone in 1 year, worse case he is gone in 5. Either way he is a temporary problem for you, relax. If you look at this story this has nothing to do with ANYONE except the Hospital and the Doctor involved period. President Obama didn’t create this, President Trump didn’t create this, nor did the Tooth Fairy.

    Buck up little camper and get some perspective, good grief! You are all going to have to find another evil villain to blame when Trump is gone. I think Santa Clause is due for some blame for something, heck maybe we can blame him for Global Warming due to his Reindeer expelling too much CO2 out their @ss flying around the world once a year. He should probably take the train or boat like that Gretta Thunber has suggested. Its all Santa’s fault, he has ruined our planet. Lets just cancel Christmas.

    Get some perspective people, seriously.
