Sioux Falls City Council Chair teaches us how to eat at Thanksgiving

1. i was too bored to watch after 30 seconds. how much does the city pay for crap like this each year?

2. I joked with a city councilor one time that the Live Well coordinator needs to have a discussion with city employees first about ‘eating’ before she educates residents. The sad part is that obesity in city employees actually costs taxpayers in health costs. I have often advocated that city employees should have their own FREE gym and their should be monetary incentives to stay healthy and eating right. Prevention and weight control would actually save us millions as taxpayers. The first thing I would do as the Live Well coordinator is to direct the mayor to END free meals to police officers at the hospital cafeterias.

3. Since when is a city councilor a nutritionist? Cut some pork from TIF’s, the Denty, the Pavilion, etc. maybe. With the arrogant budget, I can’t afford to eat. That’s my weight loss plan. Give this guy something to do. We need leadership, not fruit and nuts.

4. But Selberg got pretty upset and talked during a discussion of that golf contract a few years ago ….. #Priorities

5. Have they shown this nutrition/calorie piece to the police department, yet?
