I heard the rumor several months ago, but with his recent takeover of L & S, not sure if he would run for mayor while running the state’s most influential ad agency. Could get complicated. But there are signs he may still run. When I first heard about his potential run it came with a caveat; TENHAKEN RECRUITED HIM. Now, it would not surprise me if he did that, they both roll with the same crowd, but this little tidbit was interesting about his takeover of L & S;

So why is Ryan important in this factor? Ryan is personal friends with TenHaken and used to administer his ‘personal’ Facebook page. He has recently been taken off as the administrator.
Games are being played, and the last F’ing thing we need as a mayor is a marketing executive, we have had that now for almost 16 years, enough is enough. We need a LEADER running our city and not a used car salesman with their heads up the asses of developers.
It’s obvious we don’t need marketing people in mayors office and needs to change city charter to city manager with actual professionals trained to run a city
In the comment section to a previous South Dacola post conjecturing about Mayoral candidates, poster “Further Fear and Loathing” asked,

Perhaps this is the answer. The little wanna-be kingmaker of Sioux Falls politics has placed “thumbs down” to an Aberson candidacy.
Point:
As partner and CEO of L & S he will be too busy to be a candidate, let alone be Mayor.
Counterpoint:
Laura Mitchell is to Aberson as Erica Beck is to Mayor MisTaken.
L & S is now set up with a Chief Operating Officer. Aberson will run L & S like Mayor MisTaken runs Sioux Falls – with day-to-day operations run through the actions of a trusted lieutenant. Aberson will have plenty of time to campaign and when elected, will appoint another lieutenant to install at City Hall.
Mayor Aberson will run Sioux Falls much like Mayor Mistaken.
… but I don’t know if Aberson likes running elementary school phy ed classes?
If I had to make an educated guess, Erica is going to run his campaign, She leaves the city in June, and I think shortly after Micah will announce. Why would Beck want to be mayor when she makes twice as much as COS?

this guy is a gypsy. i’m wondering why he keeps changing jobs and why he’s never anywhere very long.
whoever runs against him needs to make it an issue. i’m sure he’ll be prepared with a fluffy stock answer, but i’d keep driving it home…who does he really care about? i can guarantee it isn’t the taxpayers.

The office of mayor is just another corrupt political type. Mayors leave office millionaires while their salary is 100k. Home Rule Charter prompts white collar fraud with no punishment and no remorse. Does it really matter which crook becomes mayor?
Canada has a new Prime Minister who vows they’ll never become a US State. Considering Trump mismanagement, could the US become a territory of Canada? Canada is not democracy but their government respects individual rights more than what authoritarian Trump

If I was rich, I’d win the mayor seat, easy. All it takes. Also would be funny if Matt Paulson ran. Would we continue seeing him post about what new watch he got each week?

Spot on. This guy has been a gypsy grifting executive level jobs from top tier sponsors of the Sanford International golf tournament and firms which helped Sanford Health (and the subsidiaries involved in the Sanford Sports Complex) spend Denny’s money.
Executives who move from job to job every year or two (as has Aberson) are moving along to the next grifting opportunity before the axe of accountability swings on the lack of business results the result of their employment.
