I make a few bucks on my site from Google advertising. I have little control but I can add filters, but only add a few because I am a monster free speech advocate. As long as it is not online gambling or mail order brides I’m cool.

What I have noticed is my site is popular for political ads, 100% GOP. So this ad doesn’t surprise me. But honestly, Hansen’s communication folks should really stop advertising on a site that thinks your campaign is a total POS and your candidate is a clown. No lie.

Food for thot.

  1. It’s funny the way in which digital algorithms seem to work sometimes.
Relative to political advertising, digital algorithms not only seem to match a digital advertiser with someone of similar political ideology, but also seemingly sometimes marry that advertiser and their message to a digital consumer who has a political ideology nearly 180 degrees opposite from the advertiser.
Toby might explain this by stating that I am a RINO, but how else do I explain all the Toby Doeden B.S. which gets directed to my online ad feeds?

  2. I keep forgetting that Hansen is running for governor. He’s like Roger Hunt in a Pressler/Janklow congressional primary race (2002).

Hansen also said recently that his greatest concern for education in South Dakota is “coastal influences.” But he didn’t elaborate. Is he thus concerned about climate change and rising tides? LOLs

( and Woodstock adds: “Maybe Hansen is worried about drones off the Jersey shore, huh” ….. ( …. “That’s so 2024, I tell you 🙁 ….. ) )

  3. TGfG,

Do you search for Rob Ford or ‘Storage Wars’ auctioneer a lot? ….. That might be the reason ….. 😉
