Silent Thune called the killing of Pretti “an inflection point.” AND, he didn’t come to Noem’s defense, did he? That’s very telling when you consider that Trump once asked Noem to run against Thune in a Republican primary, and she said she couldn’t because she was good friends with Thune.
They know, we know, Noem must go. She’s an absolute embarrassment to South Dakota, and her days of ‘state business’, legitimate or not, need to end. It’s no longer the Peter Principle its the Noem Principle now, and her “Four Pillars of Protection” appear to be falling like the Corinthian pillars of a fallen empire.
A couple of months ago, before a Senate committee, Noem thought that probable cause meant that, constitutionally, the President could do what he needed to do to detain, arrest, and deport illegals. Well, after the deaths of Good and Pretti, Noem apparently still believes that to be the definition of probable cause, which should give us all further cause for her dismissal…. What an embarrassment, oh what an embarrassment. God forgive us, what have we done in South Dakota?
Oh, and don’t forget that Noem caused the death of 929 additional South Dakotans with her lax COVID policies, when you compare South Dakota COVID stats to Minnesota’s, a state that had very restrictive COVID policies, and also factor in the population differences relative to the two states’ COVID death tolls; and I might also add these calculations don’t even take into consideration that Minnesota has far more densely populated areas to handle, than South Dakota, which means the 929 number is probably greater.
