In Europe and other cities across the country you can get a beer or wine at the movie theatre, some even serve apps and tappas. A friend of mine explored doing it in Sioux Falls like 10 years ago.
It happened in Sioux Falls a number of years ago (about 40) at the old K-Cinema – probably under a different name. That is the building at 37th and Dakota now housing Sioux Falls Lutheran school.
It was Stars and Steins and it was on Minnesota Ave where T&A is (or was). Saw Purple Rain and The Terminator there. So, 1984 – 85?
You can drink beer at McDonalds in Europe too and wine at French McDonalds…… But won’t this just make a bad movie better?…. Or, new meaning to movies like “The Hangover”….and “Reefer Madness?”
I’m OK with 1 16oz beer per movie max and only in R rated. You can only purchase a beer ticket when you buy the movie ticket. You don’t need to get drunk at the movies and not with kids.
I wish we could clean up the behavior during sporting events. I’d like to see a 2 drink max as a rule.
