That is the funniest thing I’ve seen in awhile! Noem has to be dying that she ever put that pic on her facebook page.
I will say that Noem can look really HOT!!! and she can also look really overrated! her actual congressional photo was not very attractive.
I checked out her facebook page. It’s stupid.
I’ll give the Dems a victory on this if it actually happens. It will look better for Obama than the GOP if this happens.
Problem for Noem = Josh Shields
He doesn’t like Tea Party folks and he is her communications director. I think both sides of the political isle are tired of rehtoric and working together. They just want shit repealed or rammed through.
Noem doesn’t get that and Josh Shields damn sure doesn’t get that. This is a stupid gimmick that will make all of these people look stupid when they fight the next day.
I would like to see a reporter look into Noem’s story:
She’s Pentecostal and Speaks in Tongues: Does she really?
She ran a restaurant: How long and how profitable?
She took over the family farm: Wasn’t she like married and pregnant when this happened? So did she already plan to quit school or take a break?
When did she really quit school? Before of after her father died?
Also that whole bit about estate taxes: Why did she have to pay if her mom was still alive?
Since she ran a hunting lodge how long was it in use and how profitable was it?
Why didn’t anyone ever look into this crap that she said everytime she opened her mouth. I can do a lot of things but how many of them do I actually do well enough to say when I’m running for congress? It kind of looks like everything she’s ever done has ended up in her speech. Last I heard her job was working in the Church in Watertown which she never mentioned and I want to know why… I think there is are a lot of unanswered questions out there about Noem and her background…
Actually I snagged the photo from her ‘blog’ that she took down a long time ago. It was dedicated to her kids’ 4-H projects, or something.
Yeah, the gold sequin top was an interesting fashion decision.
Snapper, good questions that forever will remain unanswered by the uninquisitive SD media, as they are more interested in advertisers and “access” than they are in news.
maybe you should ask her the questions if you really wanty answers – but then it might be more fun to just speculate and berate the media for not asking tho. i’m sure the reply from noem would be interesting if not entertaining.
Jeff- I tried that at one time (not of Noem, but of other politicians) and no response. They only respond to people who think they are fabulous.
Was Kristi even answering questions? It seems like she was avoiding the press. Too bad she doesn’t answer Snappers questions.
Someone said that she and her husband have an insurance agency. That makes speeding tickets not a problem for her.
And then the people who have written comments on her facebook page. Rather disappointing, some are very nasty. I really thought South Dakotans were above that, clearly I was wrong.
Noem is a firebrand for our state. And while it gives me a good laugh on one day, it worries me tomorrow.

I just don’t think her story ads up and the more I dig into her campaign from the day she announced and read materials from paper it seems her opponents (Curd, Nelson and SHS) never bothered to look into any embelishment of Kristi’s story. And I mean if a real reporter ever pried for timelines or success I don’t think she’d have looked as impressive.
We were sold a Hollywood script and then we didn’t ever check it out. We just sat back and ogled.
Realistically Curd would say I’m a vet and a Dr. I made it on my own. I don’t think he came from money.
Kristi on the other hand would go out and say I ran a restaurant and owned a hunting lodge. I came back and saved the farm when my dad died. But she forgets the part about whether or not they were successful and we all know that the farm was loaded.
She promotes the Insurance business she just purchased. So really it’s a bunch of businesses that they seemed to own for 2-3 years and then why did they stop?
She reminds me of this little rich kid AG, Hos and I used to work for. Daddy had way too much money and Richy Rich would just keep blowing money on ventures that went nowhere.
