Wow! This is interesting;

From sources high in the South Dakota Republican leadership camp, the message is a real political bombshell.

We have been told that Mike Rounds will withdraw from the US Senate race in December…

due to investigations currently underway.  Details were sketchy, but the assertion is that the EB-5 program investigations are getting too hot for former Governor, now Senate candidate Mike Rounds.

That might explain why Rounds has been conspicuously absent from nearly all of the joint appearances of the candidates.

We are also told that current US Congresswoman Kristi Noem will enter

Okay, Howie isn’t exactly the best source for this news, but it certainly an interesting theory.

  1. This is from that post: “One man involved in this program is now dead due to an unexplained gunshot to the head. The trail of these investigations HAS to lead to questions of the Rounds-Daugaard administration.”
    I thought Benda was shot in the stomach.

  2. I would expect Gordon Howie to produce some kind of Willie Horton on for Mike Rounds, vis a vis, the McVay parole board debacle.

  3. Anne, he would tell you ‘High on God’ unless of course he got into his wife’s prescription drugs . . . wait.

    Not sure what to think of his claim, but he is friends with Craig Lawrence (SD GOP Chair) who is NOT a Rounds supporter. This could be a little rumor the two cooked up together to pressure Rounds.

    Who knows these days, maybe he got a call from a trac phone bought at WM.

  4. LOL. Suppose anything’s possible in this election cycle, especially with reality show style campaign we’re seeing on the GOP side (at least leading up to the primary so far), but I wouldn’t put much stock in Howie, for a number of reasons. My first impression is Howie is full of himself and my second is he’s full of it.
