More people in the mix for the SF municipal elections

Looks like April 13 is getting more and more interesting. Better hope there isn’t a winter storm that day or STORMLAND TV News won’t know what to cover.

Newcomers:

AT-Large ‘A’

Jesus Ramirez (and no, he’s not a carpenter). According to his statement he is employed by Black Hills Special Services and is also co-owner of La Voz Hispana which is a local Hispanic newspaper. His wife works for HyVee.

AT-Large ‘B’

Michael Jones is a full-time SD Army National Guardsman and his wife works for the SF School District. I am glad to see someone is running against Jim Entenman.

Central District

James Milne works for Soukup Construction and his wife works for Avera Mckennan. I also expect another candidate to announce by tomorrow for the central district.

We Built This City On….

No. It was not built on Rock N Roll. But we did build this city on “Fee Harvesting”. Google that sometime. Hours of insightful reading will await you.

Last week I suggested this in the Sioux City thread.

Just sayin…when you stop to think about WHAT built this town into a city larger than Sioux City…well the pieces all start to come together.

The REAL reason SF surpassed SC in population back in the eighties lies right here in those two links. The PBS link is especially good. Watch it…especially the first installment called “Over a thousand miles away from Wallstreet”… then we can discuss.
