After several homeless advocates and homeless people showed up for public input tonight, it seemed MMM was not in the mood for Bruce and I. After cutting off one of the homeless fellars he introduced Bruce (seen above) in a cocky manner and later cut him off before the time was up. When a couple of us in the crowd protested councilor Kiley motioned to the security.

They never did anything, but I have a feeling they have been talked to.

The mayor wants to destroy public input before leaving office.

The battle lines were drawn tonight.

UPDATE: KELO AM even noticed the drama last night;

The vitriol did end there. Scott Ehrisman ended his input by saying, “a lot of us come up here and talk every week, we don’t come up here to entertain you, we come up here to inform you.” That comment was a reference to another comment made by Huether during a previous public input session, when in between speakers the Mayor asked “would anyone else like to entertain the Council?”

9 Thoughts on “UPDATE: Mayor Grump Toad presides over the city council meeting

  1. Watch the video on SIRE. After he boots Bruce and the old lady is walking up to talk next you can hear cry baby Mike mutter “oh God” when he sees her. What an uncompassionate douche.

  2. My Man Mike greeted me with a snide welcome for this November 14, 2017 Public Input. Hey Mike, it’s memory book time, be sure to tell Julie to include it.

I listened to the day’s Informational parking ramp presentation and it made me think of the classic movie The Sting with Redford and Newman but da mayor was not having any of it. I knew up front the five minutes was not going to happen, how could he ever get the time back?

It is so interesting to watch da dear leader of our town lose it and so publicly. The plans to destroy Public Input are in action again because he is tired of it and we are tired of him.

Secrecy or transparency are the words we must decide are the rules of this and future administrations.

We are so looking forward to May 2018. What will we find out then?

The mayor had Bruce arrested once before. He was to give a presentation regarding inferior EC siding. I gave it instead while Bruce was printed, photo, and prison garb for 8 hours.
My size is XXL. I have no criminal or traffic record. Being arrested by Huether and Kiley at Public Input is on my Bucket List.

False imprisonment is the first best sign of cleptocracy and dictatorship. Bruce was held on one penny bond. If there’s a bond, you must be bailed out by someone. He didn’t get a phone call and charges were dropped after 8 hours. There are symptoms that Sioux Falls has become North Korea but without nukes.

  5. I will agree with Mayor Fine Print on this one. Your remarks about the city staff were disgraceful Bruce.

  6. LJL, you forget that several surrounding business owners called the building services department and complained about the demolition practices and NO ONE from the city responded to the complaints. Obviously it wasn’t the city’s fault the building fell over, but like the fire department, if you call them when your house is burning and they don’t show up, that’s an issue.

  7. “we watch buildings falling down because our building department doesn’t seem to care” and blathering about a plot to a movie is not a rational thought or meaningful insight at a public forum.

    The unraveling continues as predicted.

Totally disagree with the Mayor on taking away Daniel Brucesen’s speaking time. Totally agree that the analogy he was trying to weave was a hot mess. The topic may be valid, but if you present it by spouting gibberish at it like the crazy cat lady, you lose your audience faster than, shall we say a shell game pebble swap…..

What was Bruce booted for? Last time I checked, Nazi flags were not flying outside the building. The Mayor wants to hear input, so give it! Obviously the truth hurts and this comment from Bruce really hit center mass. We have to sit through his droning press conferences day after day, his self love and his me, me, me crap all the time! I think he can stand a dose of reality from time to time.
Bruce should have stood his ground. This would have been a complete debacle in any courtroom
