First off, it is NOT a war. It’s a small group of terrorists getting pummeled by Israel. Some say this is about territory, and it partially is (Israel wants the whole peninsula) but let’s call a spade a spade, this is a RELIGIOUS WAR, it has been for decades. It thoroughly disgusts and angers me we continue to fund this war, whether that’s bombs for Israel or food aid for Palestinians, I don’t want my tax dollars going to this travesty and obviously a fight over how to spell GOD. I haven’t taken sides on this, because I believe both groups have committed heinous war crimes though Israel has piled up much more, and I think when this is over you will see multiple arrests by the international courts of both Hamas and Israeli leadership. Some say this may be the last chance Israel will have to take over the peninsula. But what comes of displaced Palestinians? This isn’t going to be over, they have been throwing bombs at each other for thousands of years and they will continue until they are both wiped from the face of the earth. I think America and the International community needs to walk away from this war and stop making me PAY to KILL and STARVE CHILDREN with my tax money. The irony of what Israel is doing to Palestinians kinda reminds of what a certain guy did to the Jews. So disgusting it just makes me nauseated.

  1. Netanyahu is a monster. Always has been. He will not stop until everyone in Gaza is dead. What’s disturbing is favoritism Trump has toward Netanyahu and Jews. His prejudice is now directed toward Harvard University. Yes, there were Jewish concentration camps with mass murder during WW2. However, the slaughter at Gaza is a worse mass murder crime against humanity.

  2. I believe Israel should be in Gaza, but it should be tactical and or surgical, and not in a Dresden bombing sort of way. Whatever happened to the Israel that successfully snuck into the Entebbe airport and successfully grabbed all of their Israeli citizens from terrorists who were holding them there? Instead of bombing a hospital because you suspect that Hamas is camped there, why can’t they sneak into the hospital and its underground ways – with tactical forces – and rout out the terrorists with limited to no civilian casualties in a pattern similar to Entebbe? Or, how about how the Israeli government quietly and single-handedly took out every PLO terrorist who killed Israeli athletes at Munich with no one’s real public knowledge of these acts until all of the terrorists had been killed over the course of multiple years? This is the Israel I like to remember and respect.

Don’t get me wrong, I have always been a strong supporter of Israel, but the policy that Israel has had towards Gaza since October 7, 2023 has been one of pure grandstanding, wag the dog should we say type of stragegy to create internal political cohesion in Israel through external conflict for the mere benefit of the Netanyahu government, IMO, which prior to 10/7/23 was not popular with its people and a had a very undemocratic track record with its political and legislative attacks on the Israeli judicial system for example. Netanyahu’s Gaza strategy has no real end game and in my estimation is only meant to keep Netanyahu in power, consolidate the Israeli government, and limit its opposition, and then use all of this for a stepping stone to further expansion in the West Bank and Golan Heights which will only add more fuel to the fire in that region of the world, while Netanyahu uses this expansion to impress the right in his country and thus to maintain his coalition government, and their continuation in power.

  3. careful, this editorial may be considered pro palestine, and noem will have you deported to god knows where.

  4. I’m pro NOT starving children, don’t care who they call god. But I will say that I worked with a Catholic Lebanese man once, and his anti-American rhetoric was too much to handle, it was awful. I told him once, “If America is so awful, why don’t you move back to Lebanon?” And he responded, “Because they would kill me.” (he had political asylum in the US – A long story I will blog about some day). And I said, “Well America isn’t so fucking bad after all.” he just grunted and walked off. You could tell he missed his home country, but it wasn’t right to take it out on me. I generally don’t have an issue with other cultures or even ideals, what I take issue with is giving someone safe harbor, which I fully support, and then they trash the very people giving them that safe harbor. Middle eastern people have a different way of expressing themselves, and I will leave it at that. Some of my more ardent readers know who I am talking about.

  5. Wow @ Daily Spin “Yes, there were Jewish concentration camps with mass murder during WW2. However, the slaughter at Gaza is a worse mass murder crime against humanity.” is about the dumbest thing I’ve read all year. Over 6 million Jews were murdered during WWII. Roughly 50k deaths in Gaza as a result of Hamas’ actions, most of whom were military aged men, sure much, much worse. I get it, reason and logic are out the window when you are deadset on making an argument no matter how much the facts stack against you.

  6. But Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, likes to do business with Arab countries, and Arab countries have historically been known to aid the Palestinian cause for years. So, why isn’t Kushner being deported, and he’s a Jew, too?…. Man, Middle East politics is so complicated. Maybe some food trucks and new boutique shops could help, huh?….

  7. I once had an interesting conversation with a Lebanese man at the Athens, Greece airport cafe (November of 1984). Our conversation first started due to his amusement with my ability to down a Coke rather quickly. We then started to talk about Middle Eastern politics. He was waiting for a flight to Beruit, while I was flying to London. I told him what I thought, and he definitely told me what he thought. What I really remember about that conversation, however, was that he never acknowledged or used the words Jew, Jews, or Israel, but rather suggested the whole problem was the result of the “murderers.” ….. Right or wrong, I think I know who he was referring to…..
