When a CNN comedy show is making fun of your marital affairs, it’s time to hang it up

Amber’s line, “Now for our next segment; Who’s F’ckn?

I noticed at the beginning of Trump’s 2nd term, the comedians still kind of held back on him and his cabinet, but lately, they have been unloading. It was an open secret for 2 years before anybody in the national media decided to report on Noem’s man activities. What took so long? Finding sources? You could have just showed up to a GOP caucus meeting in Pierre and got more then you know what to do with.

While some may think comedians are too harsh on him and his cabinet, I keep asking the question, ‘When is it going to get harsh?’ There is only one way to fight clowns like this, and it is by shaming them on a historic level. Notice the only one beating up this administration right now isn’t Chuck ‘Flip Phone’ Schumer, it’s comedians. I think a fire was lit a couple of months ago, and I am enjoying the warmth.

Comedians have it good these days, the jokes are writing themselves, they could do standup in a coma and the jokes would still be good.

Does the City of Sioux Falls have a Wildlife Mitigation Plan?

I don’t know.

I am just seriously asking. I have never looked on the city website because I would assume if the plan exists it would be available. I was thinking about this over the summer. I started a new thing this year where I would ride the entire bike trail, 30 miles every Saturday and Sunday morning. I liked to start 30 minutes before sunup. What amazed me was not only the different kinds of wildlife I saw but the sheer volume of some of some of the species. I have seen coyotes, foxes, black squirrels, wild turkey flocks and deer herds, bald eagles and hawks, possums, beavers, coons . . . you get the picture.

I know they use air cannons at the airport and in the past the SFPD gets a permit I think from the state to shoot deer in certain areas in town. But what about other wildlife? I saw a flock of geese last weekend behind Smithfields that when they took flight from the banks of the river the sky turned black, no lie. I guess my concern is when does this wildlife become a nuisance? I am all for wildlife in town and it is what makes our city parks attractive (now if we can add a fruit tree park!) But I think it is time the city brings in the game fish and parks and does a headcount of the wildlife in Sioux Falls and recommend mitigation. Of course, this is a post for the next mayor and council because the current administration acts like Trump at a cabinet meeting. ZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Noem threatened with Impeachment

Then she leaves the meeting early. I am assuming to change her grandson’s diaper who’s crying was more annoying then the Code Pink protesters at the hearing. And who brings a baby to a congressional hearing? Oh, that’s right, the world’s dumbest person.

She gets hammered and had no place to run, that is why I am assuming she left early, probably to draw up her resignation letter. At least 4 of the reps asked for her resignation during the hearing, and 1 rep threatened to start impeachment hearings on her next week and VOWED to punish her for violating the law in her position as DHS director. I think Kristi dropped a load in her bedazzled panties after that statement and walked out shortly after.

I think she will resign before Trump or Congress can come after her. She isn’t going to stick around to be indicted on Federal Charges, even though she still can be AFTER she resigns.

I warned South Dakotans about her when she first ran for the state house, coining her the ‘Sarah Palin of SD’ and it seems Noem’s nickname has lived up to it. How is Palin these days? LOL. Of course if she does resign it will have little to do with her corrupt racist policies and that she is probably going to try to primary Marion M. Rounds in the Senate. But who knows? Maybe she will become an dental implant spokesperson.

Looks like it is going to be a slippery weekend in Sioux Falls

With more snow coming this weekend and bitter cold temps, our street department will be busy. I know the city crews have been working their tales off with little time off.

So a friend said to me recently, “Have you noticed that some of the salt trucks put out very little salt while some just blowout too much?”

I told him I have noticed that in the past but I am assuming even if they have settings on the salt devices they tend to malfunction A LOT! A city plow driver told me that years ago and I guess I have never forgotten.

So this same friend likes to snoop around city properties to see what’s up. He travels around town a lot because of his work so he will drive by city properties to inspect*. I have been doing it for years on my bike downtown. So today he says to me. “I wonder if the city is going to have enough salt this winter or even for this weekend?”

I asked him why. He said, “I drove by the salt dome at the public works lot on North Cliff earlier this week and it was very, very, low.” With all the weather reports warning us of the possibility of a lot of precip this winter the city should have stocked up on salt, especially with $80 million in reserves I think we can afford to buy a little extra. You know, that natural occurring mineral from the earth that can be stored at no cost for decades? We just spent $1 million for new police radios that have better technology to keep the public safer. Keeping our roads passable is one of the MOST important public safety measures. BUY MORE SALT!!!!!!

*Believe me or not, I get a lot of my tips from just snooping around city projects. I never enter an active construction site because that is stupid and dangerous and I have no doubt I am on camera. That’s how the cops caught be running a stop sign on my bike DTSF and didn’t pull me over for 5 blocks. Why, because they caught me on camera (I do run stop signs, but I always slow and yield all directions and their wasn’t a car for blocks when I ran the sign). So yes, if you want to be snoopy like me, that’s cool, but be aware you are being watched.
