Socialized Medicine coming to South Dakota in 2010!

If this Russian crackpot professor’s prediction comes true we will be Canadians soon.

For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. For most of that time, he admits, few took his argument — that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. — very seriously. Now he’s found an eager audience: Russian state media.

We don’t need to change Washington, we need to change countries! But damn, do I hate maple syrup.

What does Ironic Johnny do in Washington anyway?

Letter writer points out the obvious. John Thune doesn’t do a damn thing.

I wonder where Thune was for the past year? He didn’t offer or provide any assistance to the Republican challenger to Sen. Tim Johnson, and he must not have been doing anything newsworthy for at least the past 18 months because all you heard about was everything Johnson did.

In Thune’s defense maybe like the rest of us, John didn’t know who Dykstra was either.

END THE FOOD TAX

Food stamp demand is up. Big surprise? Nope. Even before the recession started a year ago, low wages in South Dakota doesn’t help the situation.

As of Nov. 30, there were 67,217 state residents receiving the assistance, up from 62,458 a year ago. Forty percent of that increase was in Minnehaha County alone.

And what is the solution to this problem in Sioux Falls? Raise fees and taxes more!

Stupid, Stupid Stupid.

The daily lines of people coming to his agency seeking rent, food, utility, transportation and medical help have been consistent since August, Grogan said.

I highly suggest they put a revolving door in – it’s gonna get worse.
