MJ, actually, I’m with you on this one. I grew up as a punk rock kid, I think sneakers and ripped clothing is cool, and I actually like it when people in power dress down. I actually commend the mayor for the dress code. As a person who has watched city council meetings for a long time, I have noticed that city staff actually feels more relaxed being able to be casual. I have a running joke at work when people make fun of my casual attire though I kind of sorta manage a department, ‘Pay me a professional wage, and I will dress professional.’ I’m with Daily Spin on this, my neck is too big for a tie.
