I’m not sure how someone can tell this many lies in 20 minutes, but she pulls it off including how nothing closed in SD during the pandemic. Not sure what state she was talking about, but businesses, churches and schools were closed across the state. Downtown Sioux Falls was a ghost town. She also continues to peddle the lie that the libs are going to take your guns. The 2nd amendment clearly states that with the ownership of guns comes regulation of that ownership. I am wondering when the SD MSM is going to call out her B.S.

A well prepared presentation. It’s no wonder the NRA has so much power. However, comes a time when assault weapons must have tight regulation and privilege. Gun ownership under age 25 must be with a co-signer. Any one child gunned down at school will agree.

Our lives focus on an addicted has been pirate actor and the gold digger witch he married. Rather, why don’t we do something about school and drive by shootings?

    DS, 3 things need to happen;

    • You should be 21 or older to purchase a weapon.
    • Every gun you own must be insured.
    • You must have a license to own and carry a weapon and take a written and operating test to get it just like an auto license.

I think anyone should be allowed to buy a gun as long as you bring your grandmother with you to purchase it and she (grandmother) can successfully do a cartwheel in the parking lot of that gun shop before the gun can be purchased. This cartwheel will also need to be witnessed and signed-off by the gun shop owner and at least one third party individual with no ties to the wanting gun purchaser nor the seller/gun shop owner.

I liked the part in her speech where she talked about the French Revolution and the tearing down of treasonous Confederate statutes back in the states. But yet I am very confused, because isn’t such a revolution an early 18th Century example of the 2nd Amendment remedy, which she should support and especially in front of a bunch of NRAers?

Also, I didn’t know that Noem had a major or minor in French history from her online experiences at State. Perhaps, it was just some French dressing each tasted there at an ag/food culinary exhibit while on campus. I don’t know, but does she know?

( and Woodstock adds: “Sadly, all of this is just further proof of that old SDSU slogan campaign, which said: ‘You can go anywhere from here’…. ” …. (…. “Plus, if it wasn’t for Lafayette, we would all be drinking tea right now”… ))

But what if you don’t have a grandmother anymore, because then you could not get a gun? Could you still get a grandmother like you can get Annie and her gun? Plus, this cartwheel exception appears to me to have a hidden agenda of potential genocidal and or euthanasia proportions. Who will defend the old people, whose grandparents are long gone? How will they defend themselves? Is this really just an attempt to save Social Security? And, if old people are defenseless, then eventually there will be no grandmothers left, so then no one will be able to buy a gun, cartwheel or not …. (… Oh, I get your drift…. )…..

  11. Absolutely! Every gun should need to be insured and gun manufactures should no longer be shielded from tort cases involving product liability issues.

What we have right now in America is socialism for the gun manufacturers and gun owners without insurance for their guns are like a potential loser who drives around without auto insurance.

I also think if your gun is stolen and then used in a crime which results in damages to property or person, that the initial gun owner should be one of the individuals held liable for such damages….. Thus, the need for gun insurance.

( and Woodstock adds: “Gee, I wonder if that Emu on TV would be willing to sell me some gun insurance?”…. (“He does like to stand in front of the Statue of Liberty, which is a sign of freedom”…. ))

I seriously doubt gun liability insurance would be affordable or even offered. You must be 25 to rent a car. Because the government won’t do anything, buying a gun could handle this privately. There’s still the gun show and private sales loop hole. However, any gun transfer could require an amended owner registration. Failure to do so could result in a criminal offense similar to as for a convicted felon possessing a weapon.

L3wis, how would your three requirements you THINK should be in place stop criminals?

  15. l3wis on May 28, 2022 at 11:13 pm said:

That is simple, there are too many guns in America. Most guns used for crimes are stolen from law abiding gun owners, irresponsible gun owners. If you require them to lock their guns up less guns are stolen. Just look at SF, how many guns are stolen from unlocked cars from legitimate gun owners? If you require legitimate gun owners to be responsible, the guns stay out of criminals hands.

  17. 21 to buy a gun? Well, voting is much more dangerous than any gun, so why not ban voting until you are 21, after all, you can’t be trusted as an adult, according to you.

I believe it was Janklow who wanted to gather up all of the HIV positive people and make them live together. Lincoln once wanted to send all of the black people to Liberia. I think we should gather up all of the gun owners and make them live together in their own little world. We could call it Dodge City Land, or how about Dodgeville in reference to the flying bullets.
