Poetry Club w/ Chuck Luden
A debarked dog sits on a bench,
mouth agape with despair.
On another bench a girl with an umbrella
chewing licorice.
A limousine pulls up in the night.
No need to go anywhere.

I was laughing at the old folks
bumping their grocery carts
down the aisle at Sunshine
then when I got home noticed
in the mirror I have gray hair too

At Some Night Club
In one minute it will be one minute from now.
The place looks the same almost.
A fuzzy thing is falling from the ceiling
about to touch her collar where hair rides in waves.
She flinches as a song pounds memories to bits.

Decision in Carletonville
The two Africans are so pretty
One is so desperate
And both are waiting
But the time to complete
The favor runs away
And then who is left
Behind?
