Who is running this organization?

I got an email from these people today. I would like to know who is behind this, if anyone knows please comment.

This made me laugh at the header: South Dakota’s #1 Weekly Email Newspaper. I’m guessing it is probably not too hard to be #1 when you are the only one in that club. I’m just sayin’. I agree with a lot of their ‘propaganda’ – Noem is two-faced, Thune is a tool, and Republicans suck. But to call yourself a ‘Newspaper’? A, yeah, right. Maybe I should start telling people I am a newspaper . . . better not, I might get laid off, there is already enough out of work newspaper reporters this week.

Music club w/Fishbone (H/T – AG)

AG and I got to meet Angelo when Fishbone played in Sioux Falls last time at a private meet and greet, very cool, one of the most influential ska/punk bands of the last 20 years. The best part is that Angelo isn’t a pretentious fuck, you would think you were talking to your neighbor about lawnmowers.

Sorry, the Arena location is a bad site

As I have pointed out, several times, I don’t support a new events center, because I really do not think there is a need, BUT if voters approve this, it needs to be built any place besides the Arena site. I have suggested it at Dawley Farm, by the Empire Mall or Downtown, but some people think we need to just start rubberstamping the shit out of the Mayor’s suggested site;

Regrettably, many business leaders made it clear that they will not support building the events center if it is at the Arena site. I hope their opinions were only an attempt to sway the council vote, and they will get on board with this important step forward for our city.

Why? While I think some people within BID have been a little over the top, I commend them for standing up for what they believe in, I especially commend Dave Billion Jr. for putting his name on the line and speaking out.

In particular, I want David Billion to know that the two vehicles we drive, which were purchased from his dealerships, will be the last.

Why support a business that doesn’t want to support our city?

First off, I will never buy an American vehicle ever again, German is the only way to go, so I don’t blame you for not wanting to buy that crap, but to refuse based on the fact that Dave’s opinion is different then yours is just childish. Dave did something that the old skool uptight rich farts in this town would never do, he questioned the status quo for the betterment of the community, and he put his name on the line to do it. Saying that David doesn’t support this city is like saying the Hamburglar only eats chicken McNuggets. Grow a brain. We need more David Billions in this town and less Dave Kempers.

Warhol @ the Pav: Not worth $10

This is a picture I took with my cellphone in the Warhol movie room (unedited) (Even though I was told to NOT TAKE PICTURES (which I find ironic, because it is the base of all of Andy’s art). I also find the $10 fee to be extremely high for an exhibit that is in EVERY SINGLE POP ART WING of every major art museum in the country.

The most interesting part of the exhibit was the polaroids and photos. Also, ironically, have their permanent home in SF, and have been on display for free in SF in the past at Augustana College.

I think it would be cool to give everyone a dollar for visiting the exhibit, and experiencing America’s greatest artist besides Ed Roth and James Starkey. I think this would make Andy giddy.

I also appreciated the embrace from a friend when we realized we were both seeing the exhibit for the first time at the same time.

I feel a Norman Rockwell painting coming on. Nope. Just indigestion.
