A South Dacola Foot Soldier sent me this today;

I just got a call from a polling firm based out of N Sioux City SD (based on my caller ID).  It asked if I would support Noem or one of the following Dem opponents, either Sutton, Huether, or Seiler.

I had heard about a week ago that there was going to be polling out there in an effort to push Sutton into the race. But what I find interesting is they would include someone who I thought was now a registered Indy (MMM) and someone who lost to Rumblestrips. While they were at it, why didn’t they also mention Michelle Erpenbach 🙁

  1. I would have thought that Ahlers and Heinert would have been on that list, too, for what that’s worth.

I still say Noem can’t be beat. She’s weaker than Dusty and Thune, but she has a rock solid 50+% support in this state. The appraiser controversy has cost her some support my guess, but 2022 will be about gas prices, inflation, and the “liberal agenda”, which will all help Noem in the end.

Thune, however, can be beat. His popularity at times falls below 60% in polls. I also think his support is a mile wide, but only an inch deep.

Right now, there’s a “Democrat” from Aberdeen, named Bengs, who is running against Thune, but he sounds more like a libertarian to me. A “softer Republican” can’t beat Thune, but a Democrat who strategically bits Thune against Trumpsters could.

In the following video, Bengs sure doesn’t seem too interested in protecting Roe v Wade or gay rights for a libertarian, or is that “Democrat”?….:

  2. Lora probably likes Noem’s covid policies: Less government, but more covid.

  3. Just not Huether!!! Not Cleopatra either. She’s aligned with Trump and his campaign person (her lover).

  4. Name Thankfully No Longer in Quotes –
Hubbel is one of the few people in South Dakota Politics that would make me go out and Fundraise for Noem.
She should never EVER hold public office again.
Her anti-vax batshit crazy conspiracy theories are a danger to society at large and she shouldn’t be trusted with any responsibility or power.
    Ever.

  5. Like the Hubble telescope, she’s out of this world. AND, the Trilateral Commission, why doesn’t anyone say thing about the Trilateral Commission anymore?

  6. A Huether candidacy would be worth it, if only to see him dust off his [drugstore] cowboy hat in order to garner West River votes in a statwide contest.
But, can he ride a horse? Can he shoot a gun?

  7. The correct candidate running with a “420 friendly” platform could be wildly successful in this race.
A lot of chinks in Noem’s armor, but the hard stance against the people’s vote RE: recreational marijuana is an Achilles heel.

The next Governor could be known as the ‘420 Governor’!

  8. I once worked with a co-worker, whose associate number was “420”. When he held merchandise for customers, a commission environment, he would place his number on the boxed merchandise. Once it read: “420 two boxes”. Very suspicious, indeed. Just thought I would share. But would the customer? And then there were the two “666” co-workers overtime, but those are stories for another day. Happy Halloween Everyone!

  9. That would be a good question to ask Jason’s Republican opponent. AND, was it a branch or a twig? I heard it was a twig. I also read initially that the bullet was a stray one from a disgruntled neighbor upset with the death of their horse. So rumors don’t seem to stay in Plerre, but the truth apparently does.
