Thune has to pay people to defend his rape protection vote. How ironic.

Ironic Johnny; hunting for a defender?

It seems the only ones chastising Thune’s vote are citizens writing letters to the editor and the only ones defending Thune’s vote are his paid staffers.

Sen. John Thune’s communication director, Andrea Fouberg, claims the letter from Will Bennett in the Oct. 21 Argus Leader was full of misinformation and inaccuracies. I believe Fouberg’s letter is the one with misinformation and inaccuracies.

Sen. Al Franken’s amendment would withhold defense contracts from companies such as Halliburton if they restrict employees from taking workplace sexual assault cases to court. Currently, employees of defense contractors who are sexually assaulted can’t sue in court but instead are forced into secret arbitration where chances are good that arbitration will favor the company, not the employee.

I find it incredible that Fouberg contends that the Franken amendment “does nothing more than reward trial lawyers.” I say that Thune’s vote against the amendment does nothing more than reward defense contractors.

I thought it was funny that the defending letter writer was exposed to be a Thune staffer, typical damage control from the Republicants. Still waiting to hear something from the SD MSM on this one. Someone needs to go to Kranz’s desk, wake him up and remind him that he is part of the ‘liberal’ media 🙂

Bob Litz; You won’t like me when I am angry (and wrong)

Temper, Temper now, Bob;

Litz accused Staggers of “planting” the people in the meeting. Staggers denied the accusation and told Litz that he would have him “personally removed” if he ever made it again.

“If you want me to leave, Mr. Chairman, I’d be happy to,” Litz said. He gathered his papers and walked out.

BAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, because Kermit has that much control over people he can get them to show up to meetings. Kind of sounds like a group of citizens feeling they are getting screwed over, maybe that is why they showed up?

Earlier, Litz accused Staggers of using the meeting to make a “political rant.”

More like challenging the ‘Status Quo’ – What’s wrong with that?

When asked about the issue with Westwick, the city’s zoning enforcement manager declined to talk about it unless it was done in executive session – a meeting closed to the public.

“I’m not at liberty to put it out there and have the jury of public opinion discussed here,” Shawna Goldammer said.

This is the same ‘Shawna Goldhammer’ that was asked if the city could relax regulations a little to speed up the Whittier neighborhood revival and her stern and direct answer was “NO!” This chick won’t budge on shit. I have a feeling if Staggers gets elected she will be unemployed.

The meeting wasn’t entirely about the campground issue. Former Minnehaha County Commissioner Jerry Noonan complained the city is harassing him about a vacant property.

He said the process and staff at City Hall are unfriendly.

“I think I should be treated a little civilized in that particular process,” Noonan said.

I don’t think they are unfriendly – just really f’ing stupid.

If we can’t beat ’em, we’ll out-breed ’em

While you pinkos are out burning american flags, railing against the true Christian foundation of this great nation, trying to steal our guns, and bowing at the feet of the Obamassiah, we REAL AMERICANS are quietly repopulating the country with future PATRIOTS.

Your vile works of “art” mocking our LORD will be burned by the next generation according to a very prominent servant of God.

The culture war is up for grabs. The good news is that religious conservatives continue to breed like rabbits, while secular saboteurs have shut down: they’re too busy walking their dogs, going to bathhouses and aborting their kids.

Though Sally is sterile (I see to that every other week with bleach and hot water), other REAL AMERICANS continue to outbreed you birth-control-loving, debaucherous, baby-killing pinkos by leaps and bounds.

See ya later (unfruitful) fornicators!

Rounds starts his annual autumn ‘Doom & Gloom’ speaking tour

Somethings never change in South Dakota; fall harvest, pheasant hunting, influenza scares and Mikey’s ‘The Sky is Falling’ speaking tour;

Revenue to the state of South Dakota was down by $33 million in the first three months of this fiscal year, Gov. Mike Rounds said Monday, setting the stage for a painful legislative session next year.

At the same time, thousands of people have been added to the Medicaid entitlement program, which pays some medical expenses for the poor. The 6,400 people who have qualified for the state/federal program since August of last year could represent another $40 million to $50 million in expenses, creating a “huge budget problem,” Rounds said.

Yes, blame the poor for all of our problems, nevermind the rich in the state don’t pay their fair share of taxes or that we handout no bid contracts like candy.

It wasn’t all gloom and doom. Business optimism is on the rebound, and unemployment in South Dakota remains low compared with the national average.

Yet we have the highest number of working moms and the lowest hourly pay of any state in the nation. Unemployment may be low, but underemployment is high.

Heidepriem said he opposes any increases.

“For my part, I don’t think you can tax yourself out of a recession,” he said.

And imagine that, it is the democrat who is the fiscal conservative in all this.
