My research is almost complete on whether I found anyÂ charter/ordinance violations by council chair Erpenbach concerning limiting public testimony on an agenda item. I hope to post about it later tonight.

Am I the only one that catches the Minnehaha County Commissioners in constant contradictions?

Signaling Minnehaha County’s emergence from several years of budget austerity, county commissioners voted themselves a pay raise Wednesday.

The county has turned the corner on a period of â€œeconomic dire straits,â€ according to Commissioner John Pekas.

Okay, so just a few months ago we had to have an opt-out because of the increasing number of prosecutions, but now all of a sudden we have ‘turned a corner.’ Huh? Is Mayor Huether running the county commission also?

Okay, the memorandum of understanding is not a final binding purchase agreement, but wouldn’t it be nice if the city’s MOST TRANSPARENT politician would show the public the document before signing it?

The Argus Leader has not yet received a copy of the draft memorandum, but Cotter said Wednesday he would check with the project team about sending one this week.

So are you going to send this out before or after the mayor signs it? Funny how we had to hold off the snowgate election for another year because the council needed to ‘gather more information’ but it seems when it comes to the purchase of the railyard, that information is buried in some dark chasm of Mark Cotter’s office.

(SIC) “I am opposed to the Chamber legislative coffees because they don’t ask softball, teabagger questions. How do I know this? Because the lady who runs the Q & A is married to a guy who USED to be a Democratic legislator. And Democrats only ask questions that trap us teabaggers on issues of abortion, guns, homosexuals, education, war, budgeting, ALEC . . . wait.”
